Federal law has long prohibited the hiring of unauthorized workers. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is the enforcement posture. The Department of Homeland Security is now ramping up worksite crackdowns. Civil fines range from $716 to $28,619 per unauthorized worker, depending on whether it’s a first, second, or third offense. Paperwork violations tied to I-9 forms can cost between $288 and $2,861 per incident. These aren’t warnings. These are penalties. And they’re being handed out.

Criminal charges are no longer rare. Business owners who knowingly hire undocumented workers face up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. That’s federal statute. And it’s being enforced. ICE has already raided a meatpacking plant in Omaha. Dozens were arrested. In Los Angeles, garment factories and car washes were swept. In Phoenix, gas stations and construction sites are under review. The message is clear. No industry is off-limits.

I said when Trump was elected that if the employers weren't being perp walked I'm calling bullshit on all of the noise. Have to attack the demand side or you're just whistling Dixie.

If you don't want bears, raccoons, and other destructive dangerous animals around your home, you remove things that tempt them to come there. Don't leave trash or pet food outside.


Don't want "illegals"? Punish employers for hiring "illegals" and you do the same.

Or you could just quit playing politics and recognize that we need these workers, and craft legislation that allows them to work and earn and maybe someday become citizens, or go home when done working for the season.

1. Black-americans come in last in all standardized tests. Asian-americans do fine on all the tests so it’s not due to cultural bias in the tests.

2. Africa is by far the poorest and most backward continent on the planet. All of black africa is now controlled by blacks and has been for decades so it’s not due to racism.

3. No black has ever won a Science Nobel Prize unless you count one in 1979 for the semi-science of economics. They have won many nobels in non-brain fields like Peace and also in Literature so it is not due to racism.

4. Out of 1725 chess grandmasters in the world, only THREE are black.

5. 50 years of affirmative action special treatment and blacks have fallen even further behind. What does that tell you?

We don't need 70 million illegals. Maybe 70,000 or so are working in fields doing useful work. The rest are living off welfare or making money thru illegal drugs.
