Happy Birthday to Our Military 250th !

I hope it goes well....I have been saying that it was thrown together but I have seen a report that planning started last year.....not sure if this is true though....and considering that the last major military parade was 1991 I dont know that we have any Americans who know how to run a parade.
 
The irony in this is that after the war the army was disbanded and when The Constitution appeared a few years later it contained only a limited, two year provision for one since the Founders viewed a standing army as an implicit threat to civilian government.

To put it in perspective it is what it costs to run one aircraft carrier for about 20 days, not including the ships in the battle group.
