I feel sorry for the people that didn't vote for this but the ones that did well all I can say is they got what they wanted and now when the help you need isn't there too bad.
And now that Trump and Musk are saying the states are going to have to step in and help where are they going to get the money from?
They will have to raise their state taxes by billions or let their people suffer.
And hurricane season has only started.
Heck south Fla, is getting hit hard right now with rain and there will be some damage they will have to put up with, lets see how this goes over.

it seems to me that the US elites want a system more like India's caste system.

I say that with zero hyperbole intended.

The goal seems to be just break the lower middle class and below with increased health care costs and increased taxes (via tariffs), etc and to eventually drive them completely outside any system of help. Render them locked in debt, homeless and with no gov't services available to help them.

I think there is a belief if they can push enough people to be that desperate they can then get them to fill the lowest end jobs at the lowest wages that migrants current fill.

It won't work though as most people would choose not to work when that work and amount of pay gets them almost nothing.
 
Almost half the staff of the NWS has quit or been laid off. They are working a huge amount of overtime, just trying to keep track of the weather. Come hurricane season, and tornado season, it will be a potential disaster.
