So you're saying we need to bring back the firing squad as a form of capital punishment.
Its about how I have been against capital punishment except for high treason all of my life, and yet I in 2025 am found saying that justice demands that at least several dozen be put on walls and shot.

I don't agree on firing squads though. I liked how George Washington dealt with traitors better. Hang them in the public square and leave them there stinking until the birds have half eaten them and their necks rot off causing them to fall to the ground. Seems like a better deterrent than a simple firing squad.

What part of public execution as a deterrent are you having trouble grasping? Hanging is quick and easy and having them remain on the pole until their necks rot off certainly doesn't make it any more painful for them. Just for others thinking of joining the treason.
Should they get 20 years of lawyers and a lethal injection behind closed doors? Is that more humane?
