China sees the U.S. trade deal as a huge win for Beijing

In the eyes of the Chinese public, negotiators from Beijing appear to have convinced President Donald Trump's administration to roll back most of the 145% tariff rate that Trump imposed, and slash them to 30%.

They're arguing that their defiant public posture worked — and was a major reason they were able to strike a deal with U.S. officials in Switzerland with relatively few concessions.

I haven't seen any nonpartisan news source say China gave huge concessions.

It looks like Trump basically just backed off his 145 percent tariffs, like I said he should have done two months ago.
you unable to focus on the quoted part retardo? why do you support chinese leaders that employ slave labor?

It's not a U.S. trade deal. It's a trade deal between the U.S. and China.
Yes, it CAN be a huge win for Beijing, IF and only if the Chinese conform to this treaty. Otherwise, it's back to trade war and they can lose further than they already have.
In the eyes of the Chinese public,
You don't get to speak for everyone, Sybil. Omniscience fallacy.

China doesn't roll back U.S. tariffs, Sybil.
China HAS agreed to reduce it's 130% tariff to just 10%.
Trump has agreed to reduce it's 145% tariff to just 30%

This will only be for a limited time, to see if the Chinese actually conform to the treaty.
They're arguing that their defiant public posture worked —
It didn't, obviously.

Reducing their 130% tariff to 10% is a concession, Sybil.
MSNBC is not news.

China didn't have to make any major concessions, and they got Trump to abandon his 145 percent tariff nonsense.
Yes they did. They reduced their 130% tariff to just 10%. Trump's 145% tariff wasn't nonsense. It worked. If China keeps their 10%, Trump will reduce U.S. tariffs to 30%.

This is so far temporary, to make sure the Chinese government conforms to the treaty.

You know nothing about the Chinese people or what they believe. Their workers went unpaid, some rioted, and plants burned. China is a mess without fools like you buying their cheap shit.

How else would they see it? If Trump ass raped the entire Central Party and XI himself raw, twice--like a two-week stay at Epstein's island--they'd say on news reports they got a great deal.
