I must admit that I haven't seen even a single EV big rig on our freeways. Far more likely to be a dilapidated diesel from Mexico, belching black smoke.
Not for long!
Tell that to your king. He doesn't think so.
I will occasionally see some moron still wearing the virtue signal mask, but not very often. The Union Thugs shut down the port about every 10 years for a few weeks. Been about 5 years since the last time.
Yet the ports are still ineffective.
No one abandons land in California.
They already have.
The reason the Marxists shut off water is to convert farmland to high density housing.
I don't care what 'reason' they decide to use. The ranchers and farmers that abandoned their land is due to insufficient water and high taxes.
That's a bit of an exaggeration,
No, It isn't. I've driven on them (not very fast!).
but road maintenance on state highways leaves something to be desired.
What road maintenance??????
Bear in mind that Southern California is one massive city, From the ocean to Palm Springs, the city never stops.
So?
The cities are responsible for the streets in their jurisdictions. Some are better than others. Los Angeles country roads are a mess. Orange county does better.
Not by much!
Los Angeles finally outlawed shitting in the streets.
But they still do it.
San Francisco is still an open sewer. To the best of my knowledge, those were the only cities that ever allowed it.
And with that comes the cholera, the Plague, the polio, and other diseases caused by poor or non-existent sanitation.
I don't go to Los Angeles, ever. If I want to go to a big city, I go to either Riverside with the awesome Mission Inn district, or San Diego with the equally awesome Gaslamp district.
Then you go to the big city.
Joe Biden imported lots of fentanyl and started outright killing the druggies.
It's a hell of a lot more than fentanyl out there!
Both are political games. Shutting down the nuclear plants was utter stupidity, though.
That it was. The SDTC is no longer generating enough power to sustain themselves. They now import most of their power from out of the country, such as from Nevada, Oregon, etc. Those two power lines are heavily overloaded. If they trip, the WRIC will be forced to disconnect the SDTC load. The SDTC will go dark, since the SDTC has insufficient generating capacity. It will probably happen in the hot summer, with all those air conditioners and EV chargers running, and power lines sag more in hot weather.
Arson is a problem here, but some think it is actually the state itself that sets these massive fires.
Arson and other rampant crime, including a lot of violent crime.
The Socialist Dictatorship of the Territory of California.
