No, Canada! Why we don’t want the Great Woke North as our 51st State

Imagine you had a woke lunatic living in your attic.

Someone who contributed nothing to the household — beyond barking politically correct slogans — and yet expected full bed and board.

You might hear him or her (or “them”) stomping around late at night, yelling “Trans women are women!” or “Defund the police!”

And the next morning they’d be down with their hand out, expecting breakfast and pocket money.

A nightmare, right? Well, I increasingly think that’s what it would be like if Canada really were to become America’s 51st state.

It would be like having an overgrown teenager skulking around at the top of this mighty republic, draining your resources, causing you embarrassment and poisoning your body politic with PC crap.

We hear a lot about the Canadian resistance to the idea of their leafy nation being strong-armed into a Greater America.

I think we need to hear more resistance from within the US itself — especially from Republicans.

Seriously, guys, this vast 51st state with its 41 million people would be a royal pain in your neck, electorally and economically.

President Trump upped the ante on the Canada question this week.

He said if Canada were to become “our cherished Fifty First State,” then all the tough tariffs he’s imposed on its imports would “totally disappear.”

I enjoy the president’s ribbing of Canada as much as the next person. I had a chuckle when he referred to Justin Trudeau as “Governor Trudeau.” I look forward to him teasing the new Canadian PM, Mark Carney, in the same vein.

But don’t do it, Mr. President. Stop flirting with this infamously loony-left nation.

This is a people who voted Trudeau into power, a politician who’s such a wet leftoid he says “peoplekind” instead of mankind, wears “Eid Mubarak” socks, and behaves like an overexcited schoolgirl on TV shows like “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Who do you think the voters of this 51st state would put into the White House? Yep, the Dems.

Funny, not what your Messiah says

And don’t worry, Canada doesn’t want it be part of the U.S., besides, the last thing all those ruby red republican southern States wants is a Canada erasing their legislative power

There you go with the stupid unserious memes again. I don't think you can post without looking stupid and uninformed.

Where did he say he was invading Canada? Anyone?

And don’t worry, Canada doesn’t want it be part of the U.S.,

That's great because we really don't want them anyway. DUH!

There is a BIG difference between the people of Canada and the government of Canada.

Dictatorships don't have votes. Any 'voting' is just a sham.

Canada (or portions of it) as a 51st State wouldn't affect their legislative power, anchovies.

Well, let’s do the math, Canada, with approximately forty million people, divided by the say 800, 000 people per legislative district, would create close to 50 new Congressional districts. And seeing the Liberal Party has dominated Canada for the last decade, a Canada which has had socialized medicine for the last fifty years, it seems like the vast majority of those districts would lean Democratic.

So if the Democrats were to gain most of those seats in the House you telling us it wouldn’t greatly reduce the majorities the GOP has barely gained in the last twenty years? And those ruby Red States with gerrymandering districts wouldn’t lose substantial power with this development?

(time for another fallacies abortion)

What a dumb, moronic post. You really do have serious mental issues. A padded cell would be the best remedy.
It may anger you, but developed countries are almost entirely to the left of even the American Democratic Party. For instance, there is no mainstream party in a developed country outside the USA who does not support universal healthcare. The Democrats mostly support it, but not fully, which makes them outliers. The Republicans are almost completely against it, which makes them bizarre, compared to most of the world.

There are no votes in a dictatorship, anchovies. The government is not the people of Canada.

Socialism isn't 'developed country', Wally.
