I can intellectually understand how the smart Progressives can effectively be focused on destroying prosperity in our country, to enable Socialism as the "savior" when everything collapses. That makes perfect sense to me, and I get why all the Liberal policies are geared toward this ends. It is through the collapse of capitalism, even if by political means, that Socialism can triumph in the end, and they realize this, so it comes as no surprise, Progressives continually push in that direction.
What I don't get, is how they have managed to brainwash so many willing supporters. You can read their posts, it's absolute idiocy regarding economics, the future potential for growth in capitalist enterprises, and finance in general. It just boggles the mind people can be so stupid. For months, we've had to hear how we're going to insure 30 million more Americans and it isn't going to cost us a dime, in fact, it is going to save us money and pay down the deficit! Complete government takeover of health care isn't going to cost us jobs, it's going to create jobs! And still, make us money!
Nothing this administration has done, or plans to do, will stimulate capitalist growth and prosperity for the long term. Everything is either a governmental expansion or a temporary measure. The "money people" keep getting told, the government is about to zap you with higher taxes and regulatory fees, and thus, the uncertainty in the market lingers on. We get a somewhat encouraging job report, but we just hired census workers and IRS agents, no manufacturing sector jobs, no capitalist expansion jobs. Yet, here are the minions, running around gloating and celebrating as if Happy Days Are Here Again!
We've got to stop allowing them to demonize capitalism. Our prosperity and growth are dependent upon capitalists doing what they do, making money, growing and thriving... expanding to make more money... if that is happening, things are good for all of us, it is "economic prosperity" and we all benefit. They create the new jobs, they pay the raises in salaries, and they are the backbone of the lifestyle we've all become accustomed to in America.
