The most obvious is with immigration and the border. It has become the leading negative issue for Biden even moving ahead of the economy. That the border is open, that somewhere over 10 million people have entered the US illegally during Biden's term, that illegals committing serious felonies are now making the news almost daily, all says that issue is a disaster for Biden.
Gas, food, and other basic needs pricing is another disaster for Biden. People are living on credit cards because they can't afford gas to go to work otherwise, can't afford food, and their rent has gone up sky high because of inflation. The economy is a disaster for Biden.
Toss in his feckless handling of the Israel-Gaza issue that has people on both sides of the political spectrum pissed off at him.
The guy is a total train wreck.

With the exception of the Chinese Disease lockdowns, no, Trump doesn't fail miserably. Biden and him do about equally well. The only difference I can see is post Chinese Disease, that the labor participation rate has remained lower and I don't fault Biden for that. What the lockdowns apparently did was show some people that they could make ends meet satisfactorily for them by living off government largesse rather than working.

Republicans don't want to fix it by giving the whole lot amnesty which is what the Senate bill amounted to. Apparently you never read that bill. Aside from that, 95% of the problem Biden could fix at the stroke of a pen, but then he'd have to admit Trump and others were right on border security and he can't do that. Essentially, Biden painted himself into a corner on border security and now he's ass fucked on the issue by it.
