Democratic congressman hits Super Bowl fans for not standing for 'Negro National Anth

and that's okay ...but I imagine if you are going to see a sporting event and they play the anthem the vast majority would be respectful and stand... it's not just conservative with good manners....;) I'm curious they play the national anthem when they have local boxing matches here... is that not a thing everywhere?

I stand. I take off my hat. They play the national anthem at boxing matches. People observe all the accepted protocols.
That's not really my point.

The practice started in war time.
It never went away.
I'm not sure what it's supposed to accomplish,

Still, as I've said, it's far from our biggest problem.

Question: Exactly what nation does the Black national anthem represent? The US is represented by The Star Spangled Banner. So, what nation does it represent?

I have no idea. I had never heard this song until it was approved by the WOKE loons at the NFL trying to further divide America.

It’s is not our National Anthem.

Pride in your country... and it accomplishes just that ...you do realize that Americans aren't the only ones who play their anthem to show just that... you have seen Olympic medal ceremonies? It shouldn't be a problem..
Is it?

"My favorite part of the Super Bowl was not Taylor Swift.

It wasn’t the commercials or even the legendary miracle overtime ending.

While the halftime show was great, it’s not what moved me.

All of these aspects of the Super Bowl yesterday were fun and special in their own way.

None of them top Chris Jones.

During Reba’s performance of the national anthem, Chris Jones was in tears.

That moved me.

Chris Jones weighs about 300 pounds and he’s over 6 feet tall.

What a way to show the world that it doesn’t matter how big and strong you are, it’s OK to show your emotions.

A wonderful message for young men everywhere that admire football players for their strength and athleticism that it's OK to cry.

Jones is also an ardent supporter of our military and our Veterans.

At a Military Training Appreciation Camp event in which he participated, he said, “This was really important to me just because of the work the military puts in to preserve our freedom in this country. I have people in my family that are in the military – in the Navy and the Army – so it's dear to my heart."

When Jones cried during the anthem yesterday, I felt that in my heart.Because I too feel emotional when I hear the national anthem.

I will never shy away from saying that because this country gave my parents everything when they had nothing.

This country saved my parents from tyranny and oppression.

And while she isn’t perfect, America is my home.

I'm proud to be American.

Thank you Chris Jones for this beautiful moment." And obviously this should have quotes at the beginning of this message which I'll fix...lol

Got the crap!

Obviously you're into insurrection, treason and Manslaughter! Like most of you Trump cum swallowers

I personally enjoy it I always have and no it's not our biggest problem..I played it at every swim meet ...inside or out... never had a complaint... people always stood very respectfully...teams and Spectators... pretty special moment...

Do you sing the National anthem while watching Trump treason and insurrection on Jan 6?

You know what the funniest
Thing is...if someone else would have posted that pic they would have been singing their praises...;)

That's kind of true, in a typically warped Toxic kind of way. If a non-racist member had posted that, 1) they would have properly linked it as Rule 5 says, and 2) they would have been praised because everyone knows that they aren't a racist like you. You use non-white people and memes to virtue-signal with, but your white hood always knocks your halo crooked. :rofl2:

It gives certain people an opportunity to make judgments about their fellow citizens, and it gives faux patriots like we see here a chance to virtue-signal how great they are compared to those who don't bother to stand.

There is not.. one people... one nation... I guess anyone who doesn't feel that way might be more comfortable living somewhere else... especially if they consider mock and shun patriotism snd consider it to be some kind of farce
..

So much for freedom of expression in America, eh?

Why is your brain stuck on stupid? "Until 1892 there was no pledge of allegiance."

The US was founded on freedom yet people like you expect everyone to pledge allegiance, and denigrate those who choose not to.

They do the same thing with those who aren't of their chosen religion, those who aren't of their chosen political party, those who aren't of the same sexual orientation, etc. etc. "You can be free in America, as long as you conform to our expectations."
