LOL
Several years ago I read an article about the knowledge and intelligence of average Americans by asking questions like "How many stars on the American flag?", "What is 75% of 100?" and "Which weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of steel?"
About that same time I was flying with a flight attendant who liked to roller blade on the wide sidewalks next to the beach in Key West. The Captain I was paired with asked her how far she'd go. "About 6 miles", she said.
"How long did it take you?"
"About an hour."
How fast to you think you were going?"
"I don't know. I'm not good at math."
After that, every station we stopped at we'd ask them questions like those above to hear the answers. Some were wildly inaccurate such as "25 miles per hour" on the roller blading question. A few just gave us sharp looks like we were fucking with them...which we were...but it showed they knew the correct answers. LOL
That's hilarious!
