Well, I do have a flashlight that has it's own wind-up generator.
But, it is real time, and has a very small rechargeable battery.
But, can you imagine how much electrical power could be generated down at the local Gold's Gym, if they had all those work out machines generating electricity to a huge battery. They could probably generate their own lighting and HVAC systems with it!

Now, you are hitting me where it hurts. Because I should be going down to Gold's Gym and working out more than I have been here lately.
So thanks for reminding me how lazy I am getting.
As for engineering such an idea into a product- that may require someone above my pay grade though Sir.
But, for me, the idea of working out and generating electricity, all at the same time, would be great in my opinion.
