It’s worth taking a step back, though, to look at how Johnson’s two choices — to release the tapes and to blur the faces of participants — were fueled by two distinct desires. In making the tapes public, he was acting to protect himself from the fury of the far right. But in blurring their faces, Johnson is in essence protecting these rioters from themselves.

At the most obvious level, Johnson’s statement alone speaks volumes about his absurd claim that the Republican Party “stands for the rule of law.”

I do hope Trumpets treatment plan is a success. In some of the more extreme cases, sadly the only option left is total brain amputation. THAT,....is a sloppy deal. I guess the one positive is that normally in these cases there is a lot less mass to be dealt with due to the excessive amount of brain shrinkage the patient has suffered. I have personally seen people like our friend Trumpet end up with a brain shrunken down to the size of an average walnut. As I said,...Libtardation is a hell of a disease.

I can see in the video of the one exception, that had they not fired the gun, that crowd would have been in the room with Mike Pence. You Trumppers have never understood the idea that police are trained and required to prevent a situation from happening that results in the necessity to kill someone, IN this case they failed, but luckily with only one person. It could have been a lot worse. Just because someone is a violent insurrectionist is not a reason for a police officer to kill someone. The violent insurrectionist must first be a material threat first. Crossing that doorway caused that woman to be a material threat.

I do not know if a warning shot would have worked or not, but I wish they had tried that first.
