On Wednesday evening coming, our synagogue is having an interfaith thanksgiving service including the Imam and his congregation of his Mosque. We have been having this service for years, no issues on a people to people level, we are more alike then not. One of my doctors is Muslim and he knows i'm Jewish no problems. Strange that fundamentalist christian churches are invited but ignore the invite.
Grace, forgiveness, and understanding are good qualities and something this forum needs a lot more of. You never know what other people have gone through in their lives that have shaped them in both good and bad ways. You have no good reason to be snippy with me as I have went out of my way to defend you MANY times in here,. for good reasons,....and will do again Im sure. I chose to somewhat defend Nifty in an attempt at good will and forgiveness. You would be wise to take the same attitude ,....you never know,...if were lucky peace could break out in here at any time!

No,...sure cant. It was a terrible thing to say. I just figured that it might be right to play the part of peacemaker for a change instead of me constantly being on the attack. As I grow in my Christian faith I have to do better.

I would encourage you to read and pray for the wisdom to UNDERSTAND the Bible. Both the old and the new testament. Its all right there in plain view. It is always better for people to come to the truth themselves.

He's from a different era,...things were a lot different when he was growing up then they are now. Even though I have had more than a few dustups with Nifty I actually believe he's not that bad of a guy. I think he has good intentions and means well. If I'm totally honest I think that there is only ONE person in here that not only doesn't mean well but also has legitimate bad intentions and it sure isn't Nifty. Funny you posted that. I was just thinking about one of the other rescue dogs we had. Over the years we have rescued many dogs,...not just the 2 I talk about in here. Anyway,.....one of them was quite close to being put down. He was rescued from an illegal dog fighting operation in Milwaukee. He was a bull Boxer mix. VERY handsome dog. The poor guy was used as a BAIT dog to attack for the others who fought. One of his back legs had been broken pretty badly so he walked/ran with a little limp. He also had multiple scars on his head from the attacks. He was really traumatized in that awful place. So,...we took him from the Humane society and adopted. It took time,....but with enuff love and attention he turned into the most loving, loyal, kind dog you ever saw. Smart too! He was a big part of our family for a long time and it hit us hard when he passed on. Moral of the story? The same thing goes for PEOPLE. With enuff kindness love and forgiveness they too can change for the better, Like I said in another post,....you never know where they came from or what kind of suffering they may have gone through in their lives. Not all scars are physical, in fact most are much deeper than what people see outwardly.

My personal interactions with Muslims have been consistently positive,

Towel head references the keffiyeh which Arabic Muslims certainly do wear.
Also, to a lesser extent, the female hijab.
