What if Palestinians don't want peace?

It is obvious that Palestinian Arabs do not want peace. It is obvious that Hamas is a despotic terrorist organization bent on murder. The truth:

All of them have been rejected by Palestinians, who were happier to risk losing everything in a war than to accept the existence of a Jewish state.

What if Palestinians don't want peace?

A thought has been worming its way uncomfortably through my mind since Oct. 7. What if peace is impossible? What if there is literally no way to reach a lasting accord? What if one side will settle for nothing less than the destruction of the other?

My doubts began in the immediate aftermath of the atrocity as I watched the reaction of some Palestinians and some of their sympathizers, not least in the West. On that dreadful Saturday evening, there had as yet been no Israeli response. Protesters did not have the (perfectly reasonable) argument that the participants in later demonstrations had, namely that they were defending human rights in Gaza. No, this was exultation in the murder of Israelis, pure and simple.

They do want peace but for them peace is death to all Jews

I don't normally respond to you - but yes, I would. And I was against Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

Civilians should never be targeted in war.

Yeah, I know I drive you crazy with reality.

And we should have called for a ceasefire immediately after Pearl Harbor.

I'm glad you have the luxury to be a pacifist.

Yeah - let's pretend everyone in Gaza is evil, all are "Hamas," and all do not want peace.

Makes the headlines so much easier to handle.

Do you believe that another election in Gaza would give us a different result or do you think, as many do, that they would elect yet another group of people who reject the "Two State Solution" and would continue to chant "from the river to the sea" chants that mean the total annihilation of Israel? Have you any real evidence that the people in Gaza would support a two state solution?

It is not the Palestinian peoples who do not want Peace.

It IS the Palestinian leadership as propped up by certain neighboring Arab States that has never wanted peace.

That is why Israel/Palestine has been a no win situation for so long as the decision makers were not at the table, that being the certain Arab State leaders.

Understand that the only thing those Arab nations hate historically more than a Jewish State being on their doorstep, is Jewish State and a Palestinian State being on their doorstep.

Why? Because once the Palestinians have their own State, the need for them to contest Israel for land is near zero, They BOTH now have land. But understand the Palestinian peoples have CLAIMS against vast amounts of land in Arab Nations, including Oil rich land. So where do you think a new Palestinian State would focus it energies? Of course it would be to get some of their historical lands back from Arab nations.

That is why at the Khartoum Summit, the Arab nations united behind one written statement to WEAPONIZE Palestinian DESIRE for a homeland as a thing to attack Israel and to use Oil dollars to do so.

None of this is secret btw.

Who knows. I don't know what the people of Gaza are thinking right now.

But I do know that close to 40% of them are children.

And none of that changes any of the questions. So, your response is you just "don't know" but everything should stop because you have emotional responses to Hamas propaganda? Israel should just sit there and absorb terror attacks because there are people under 18 that live in Gaza under which the Hamas led government builds military headquarters and installations? Why does it take IDF forces to protect the civilians so they can leave the area? Is it because Hamas would not allow them to leave?

They have NEVER wanted peace in the region.

What are the CLAIMS founded upon? School me.

Sure.

They are the old historical 'original peoples' claims regardless of what you or I think of those.

The "Palestinian Peoples' (of which Jews are historical one of the "Palestinian peoples") claim a historical claim to that region that pre dates the Arab peoples being in that region.

that is why a two State solution makes the most sense between the Jews and Palestinian, as they BOTH have historical claims and if you are going to recognize one you should recognize both.

People want peace. Leaders often do not. Palestinians would like equal rights and self-governing, Netanyahoo made it clear he has no intention of allowing that. He wants absolute rule over Palestine. He is similar to Trump, who wants absolute rule over America. Wannabe dictators need to be stopped.

On October 5th the Palestinians had absolute control over the Gaza strip.

Thank you.

1. DNA tests of Palestinians suggest otherwise
2. Jordan is Muslim Palestine
3. Where are the "oil rich" lands?
4. Theocratic monarchs own the oil, not "any Peoples"
5. Gaza has been an independent, unoccupied state since 2005
6. Gaza got its 2 state solution and declared war on Israel

The Jews have offered a two state solution more than once the Palestinians have rejected it every time.

100% correct.

You're putting words in my mouth (or it seems that you are). I support Israel, and their right to retaliate against Hamas and seek justice.

I object to the attempts to dehumanize the population of Gaza based on assumptions and generalizations.

If the Jews were there the first and had their land forcibly taken from them would you still feel the same.
