The thing my grapevine is talking about is that the Children in Washington are so ignorant that they think there will be negotiations....there will be no such thing.....there will be a surrender on Russias terms.

Russia has been trying for almost a decade to negotiate a solution to the West using Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia...we refused all along the trail.....to the point that we flat out lied in the Minsk Accords.

South Korea, West Germany, Japan, and on and on... I guess you could argue that we will walk away in another couple of decades, but it has been 80 years now.
Just some common sense on this silliness:
There has been a massive buildup in production that will bear fruit in 2025. That is most pronounced in artillery shells, but is in everything that the Ukrainians need. And it is around the Western World(which oddly now includes South Korea and Japan).
The clear plan here is to continue supporting Ukraine well after 2025. That support is planned even if the war ends, because everyone thinks the war would merely be frozen by a ceasefire. We would continue to need to arm the Ukrainians for future threats. And we would continue to need to arm other countries too. Poland is building an army with more tanks than Germany, France, Britain and Italy combined.
There is some chance that trump will win in the USA, and switch America from opposing Putin to supporting Putin. That would suddenly cut off Ukraine from US aid. But the rest of the world is making plans to continue the aid without the US.

The fact remains we have remained in South Korea, West Germany, Japan, etc. for almost 80 years. We have stayed in West Germany for longer than the country existed. Literally, we were there before it started, and after it unified with East Germany. And then we were there 30 years after that.
