Majority Of Muslim Americans Believe Hamas Was ‘Justified’

Did we or Britain or Russia annex Germany or Japan?

Fuck you.

In July 1898, near the end of the Spanish-American War, U.S. forces launched an invasion of Puerto Rico took control from Spain

Should they be attacking Americans in terror attacks??

We did from Mexico

And YES Russia did half of it ..... it was called East Germany

Also the United States annexed Hawaii in 1898 should native Hawaiians be slaughtering people in subdivisions if some want to ?

The people who had colonized the part of Mexico which became Texas had already declared independence.

We didn't march in and take it nor was it handed to us by a third country.

And if you think because Russia did something it justified Israel doing it, I can see why you're a Trumper.

But all that aside, nobody else ever took land away from it's native residents and gave it to a religion.

Because that's what the creation of Israel was.... the taking of land from a group of native people who practiced one religion then handed it to another religion.

These are my problems how?

You keep trying to make it about moral issues when there are no moral parties involved.
Who would you prefer to win?
That's the issue with which to be concerned.

You cannot separate moral issues from it.

But that's not even what I'm doing.

You say Palestinians attack Israeli school busses.

So I related incidents where Israel attacked Palestinian children and old people.

You're just reading what you want to into what I say.

Americans know next to nothing about the world, and most of what they think they know are lies told to them by power.

Buckle Up.

Taking Puerto Rico, a tiny island thousands of miles away from it's sovereign country in Europe is a far cry from one country deciding it was going to divide another country in half and give it to a a religion.

That is just outrageous.

And it doomed the world to ceaseless and never ending violence.

I truly wish a massive earthquake would open up the ground and swallow the entire place.

Expand the Mediterranean Sea.

Israel came first. Palestine is the Roman name for Israel, which the Romans imposed on it after crushing the Bar Kokhba revolt. This was done to erase all memory of the Jews and their origins/history in Israel.

The Jews are the only religious group who ever had a sovereign, independent kingdom embracing all, or almost all, of what is currently called Israel

“Palestine” got its name only after Rome finally conquered and dissolved the Kingdom of Judea ...which is where the English word “Jew” comes from

Modern Jews descended from the ancient Canaanites. Which were the first people in the region

Pointless argument. What is now Israel was part of the Roman Empire and became Christian under Constantine in the fourth century, then was Moslem for 500 years until the present Israel was restored there by force at the expense of the existing population.
Israel's refusal to abide a two state solution has led to the present debacle.

Hamas rejects the two-state solution and is sworn to Israel's destruction. On Nov. 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly agreed a plan to partition Palestine into Arab and Jewish states and for international rule over Jerusalem. Jewish leaders accepted the plan giving them 56 percent of Palestine land.

Palestinians Still Aren’t Willing to Compromise
Every leader has rejected every offer of statehood

Yeah, they rejected "the UN plan" to take their property and make a gift of it to citizens of other nations.

Another state alongside Israel that beheads Israeli infants? Hamas, whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel?

You are the worst kind of fool, Marty.

KEY POINTS

In 1923, the land of Palestine, previously under the control of the Ottoman Empire, was made a British Mandate by the League of Nations.

During WWI, the British made conflicting promises to the Arab and Jewish populations of Palestine.

In 1937, following a six-month-long Arab General Strike, the British established the Peel Commission, which concluded that the Mandate was not working and proposed a partition of Palestine into independent Jewish and Arab States. The proposal was rejected by the Palestinians.

At the beginning of WWII, in 1939, the British put a limit on the immigration of Jews into Palestine.

After World War II, in August 1945 President Truman asked for the admission of 100,000 Holocaust survivors into Palestine, but the British maintained limits on Jewish immigration, which led to a new inquiry into partitioning Palestine.

By 1947, the British announced their desire to terminate the Palestine Mandate and placed the Question of Palestine before the United Nations, which developed a non-binding recommendation for independent Arab and Jewish states.

The proposal was rejected by the Palestinians and civil war broke out.

On November 29, the UN General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, to adopt a resolution recommending the adoption and implementation of the Plan of Partition. The division was to take effect on the date of British withdrawal. The partition plan required that the proposed states grant full civil rights to all people within their borders regardless of race, religion, or gender. Both the United States and Soviet Union supported the resolution. The five members of the Arab League, who were voting members at the time, voted against the Plan.

The Jewish Agency, the Jewish state-in-formation, accepted the plan, and nearly all Jews in Palestine rejoiced at the news.

The partition plan was rejected out of hand by Palestinian Arab leadership and by most of the Arab population. Meeting in Cairo on November and December 1947, the Arab League adopted a series of resolutions endorsing a military solution to the conflict.

Britain announced that it would accept the partition plan, but refused to enforce it, arguing it was not accepted by the Arabs. Britain also refused to share the administration of Palestine with the UN Palestine Commission during the transitional period. In September 1947, the British government announced that the Mandate for Palestine would end at midnight on May 14, 1948

None of which alters the overriding fact that the people living in what is now Israel found their property, their farms, their towns, awarded to foreigners. This is a wound that didn't heal. UN resolutions and historical events can't make it heal.

No. I see you trying to be fair and present both sides of the story.

No problem in doing that, but reduced to the basics,

the two sides hate each other and can't co-exist.

If only one side can exist for there to be peace,

we have to decide which one we want to win.

There's no place for a moral factor in the equation.

None of that negates the fact that before anything you spoke of happened, the land which Palestinians called their home for over a thousand years, was summarily taken away from them and given to the Zionists by a bunch of powdered wig wearing, tea-sipping, pinky extended, Nancy-boy Britfags who themselves were long famous for going around the world, colonizing countries in which the native peoples wanted nothing to do with them.

I blame all the middle eastern violence the world has had to suffer through for the past 70 odd years, mostly on the British government, but also on the Truman administration for going along with it.

Stupidest thing ever done in modern history.

OK. You've taken sides. No problem.

I have as well, albeit not the same one.

Ok Smarty, so what about the 800 thousand Jews who were driven out in Arab countries?
