GM Is Stalling EV Production Because Demand Is Falling Off..Joe C craps on self

General Motors is building Silverado EVs. It delivered a whole 18 of them during the third quarter of this year. It planned to expand production beyond its Detroit-Hamtramck facility, also known as "Factory Zero", by 2024 to Orion Assembly where the Bolt EV is built, albeit not for much longer. That plan has now been pushed back to late 2025, and according to GM, the decision was not made due to any supply shortages, or even the ongoing United Auto Workers strike. It could be indicative of waning consumer enthusiasm for fully electric vehicles as a whole.

The automaker cited "evolving EV demand" and engineering improvements to the vehicle as causes for the delay.

Falling off?

It never existed.................

Actual Cost Of Charging An Electric Vehicle Is $17 Per Gallon, Automakers Losing $36,000 Per EV Sold (Big Boondoggle For China)

The actual cost of charging an electric vehicle is $17 per gallon, and automakers are losing $36,000 per EV they sell. Its enriches China and makes the US dependent on Chinese batteries and minerals controlled by China

That is some funny shit.
It costs EV owners $17 per gallon of electricity.

How do I know when I have a gallon of electricity?

BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

ConfoundedInterest.net Is a radical far right website with zero credibility.
VolsSuck actually swallowed this bullshit.
A gallon of electricity? The article doesn't even make sense.

I bet the other MAGA morons on the forum swallowed it, too.
No wonder Trump loves the poorly educated. They're so stupid, they're easy victims of scams.

Hey joey

Tell us what significant advantages the owners of EVs have over owners of ICE vehicles? To them personally.

C'mon man! This should be easy for a panty wetter like you to tell us what significant advantages EV owners have over ICE owners. Unless of course there aren't any and that's why the government eventually won't allow any other kind of car to be sold. There are so many advantages to owning an EV that you have to be forced to buy one. Just like the death stab, so good for you that you have to be forced to take it.

He meant "gallon equivalent." That is, the amount of electricity necessary to match the energy in a gallon of gasoline.

Except that isn't even close to being accurate.

A gallon of gas is equivalent to 33.7 kwh of electricity. https://www.calculateme.com/energy/gallons-of-gas/to-kilowatt-hours/1
The average cost of electricity in the US is 16 cents per kwh.

That is assuming an ICE motor and an electric motor are both 100% efficient. They aren't.

When it comes to mileage, the average EV can go about 3 miles per kwh. so your average EV will go for about 100 miles for the equivalent of one gallon of gas.
An EV will go about 100 miles for $5.50 in fuel and an ICE car will go about 30-35 miles for $3.50 in fuel.

You don't get to add the costs of regulation for one form of energy but ignore the same costs for the other form when making a comparison.

GM will produce 500,000 EV's, world wide, this year. Not bad!

No they wont

GM Abandons Goal Of Building 400,000 EVs In North America By Mid-2024

Auto execs are coming clean: EVs aren't working

But this week on GM's third-quarter earnings call, Barra and GM struck a more sober tone. The company announced with its quarterly results that it's abandoning its targets to build 100,000 EVs in the second half of this year and another 400,000 by the first six months of 2024. GM doesn't know when it will hit those targets.

Electricity is not measured in gallons. You are talking equivalent costs, obviously. It's pretty accurate too, considering that the brunt of these costs are born by communism.
Taxing gasoline cars to subsidize EVs is ridiculous.

And even with all this subsidy, EVs aren't making it in the marketplace.

Do you understand the term "world wide"?

He is using an equivalence, comparing the distance traveled by an EV vs a gasoline car traveling the same distance.
When you add up all the subsidies, the cost of driving an EV is equivalence to driving a regular gasoline car to use one gallon of gasoline is equivalent to $17/gal.

In other words, the cost of driving an EV is equivalent to spending $17/gal on a gasoline car driving the same distance.
