Reid apologizes for 'no Negro dialect' comment

well jeeze, you haven't got the message yet..

when a Republican is in the white house or "misspeaks" ALL the people are suppose to speak out..especially the libs..

but when it's a Democrat, all Republicans and other are suppose to sit down and STFU..:cof1:

Oh, bull. The hypocrisy & double-standards work both ways; partisanship is the only factor involved.

I couldn't believe some of the posts from Bushies this year about Obama's inability to speak, and how he relies on a teleprompter (sound familar, memes?)

What he said is more an indictment of the voting public than any black person.

Everyone here said much the same thing as Reid did in the election.

If Obama had that dark chocolate skin color do you think he would have gotten as far as he did?

I truely did not support Obama early on because I thought America was just too racist to elect him after seeing the reaction to the Katrina disastor on this site.

Biden and reid are of a certain generation in which they were told Negro WAS the prefered name to call black people.

Think about the history and realize MLK called himself a negro.

The other thing that makes it completely different is the fact that Reid and Biden have supported AA all their lives and have fought to improve the lives of black people during their entire carreers.

Now realize that the republican party calls everything the black community does "pulling the race card".

Republicans have fought for decades to keep black voting froim happening.

They were caught and punished red handed in the 80s for just this crap.

The Felons list in Florida disnfranchised thousands of legal voters many of whom were people of color.

There are very good reasons the intentions of republicans are far more suspect then dems like these guys are.

So if you vote for AA and are a Dem you get a pass.

???....have to catalog this one as another excellent example of why liberals aren't qualified to run a country.......

HUh? What liberal?

And buy the way? Politicians dont actually buy votes. They are bought off by lobbyists if you want to be politically correct. The politicians are just front men for their campaign donators. Their purpose is to make their campaign supporters(The ones that put up the major money to get them elected), get a nice return on their donations(which are actually investments.)

Big deal. He used the word negro in an underogatory manner. And every single politician agrees. Even the black ones. As usual the drama queens jump on everything and blows it out of proportion.

I like Reid.

Seems I recall during the campaign, a parody song entitled "Barack the Magic Negro" was met with extreme outrage from the left, it was a very big deal, even though it was satirical. When I maintained you were blowing THAT out of proportion, I was called a racist. When I suggested that usage of the word "negro" was not derogatory, you insisted the word WAS derogatory in ANY connotation, including the 'United Negro College Fund' and when referring to a genre of music known as "negro spirituals." Those examples didn't matter because the usage was somehow 'accepted' by black people, which made it okay.

Senator Reid is like all of us, as in imperfect! That remark he made, was his mormonism coming out! It's up to the democracts and democracts only if they want Senator Reid to step down!

http://www.religioustolerance.org/lds_race2.htm

Why do you think it's up to the Democrats? Was it up to the Republicans, and Republicans only, to reprimand George Allen for the 'makaka' comment? Was it left up to Republicans and Republicans alone, to ask Trent Lott to step down after his comments at Strom Thurmond's birthday? Seems to me, you have a bit of a hypocritical double standard going on here.

Why don't we just say, it's okay if Democrat Liberals say any damn racist thing they want to say, in any damn racist context they want to say it in, and offend anyone they wish with their racist comments, and it's FINE because they are liberal democrats! While it is NOT okay for a Republican to even mutter something that can be loosely construed or interpreted as racist, and any such comments demands they immediately resign from public office and bear the brand of a racist until they die! Why don't we just say that, since THAT IS what you mean? At least you wouldn't be contradictory two-faced, talk out of both sides of your mouth HYPOCRITES!

The voters rejected Allen, Dix.

And what is with the calls of hypocrisy? There is tremendous pressure on Reid right now. This story is front page news in the "liberal media."

The voters didn't reject Trent Lott from his leadership role in Congress, that was liberal democrats who said his comments were 'racist' and insisted he step down. I was just wondering why liberal democrats get to have a say in what happened to Trent, but republicans don't get a say in what happens with Reid? And yeah, Allen was rejected by the voters, after millions of dollars were spent by liberal democrats and political activists, with much assistance from the mainstream media, following his 'makaka' comment. Again, it doesn't seem as if that were left up to republicans and republicans alone to deal with, the way Kenneth suggests should be the case with Reid.

Allen allegedly also put a deer head in the mailbox of an African American family, while using the N word, after a hunting trip (according to one of his hunting companions)....

Liberal Lies!!!

George Felix Allen is a compassionate conservative, who believes performing service for needy families! Son, I’m sure he was just delivering some venison to a needy Colored family during the holidays. Leaving it anonymously in their mailbox is just sheer modesty!! “Noblesese oblige” I reckon is what your fancy pants communist college professors call it.

Us compassionate conservatives don’t need to take credit for our community service – you libtards are the ones who need to be a hoggin’ all the credit for your supposed compassion!

Regards,

Ted

what, no lefties are calling for Reid's head to roll?

why am I not surprise..:palm:

Apparently you don't know what you're talking about.

Jesus, I beg of you sweet son of man, deliver to this board some intelligent conservatives. I feel so alone.

I love it, Reid says Obama don't talk like a negro and is light skinned, and not one word from Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson both who ran for President of the United States. Guess that is why they both lost, too dark and talk in that negro dialect
