A 6-year-old Texas boy has been lying unconscious in a hospital bed for more than a week after his 39-year-old neighbor allegedly broke into his home and beat him with a baseball bat.

The young child named Jeremy suffered brain swelling and multiple skull fractures after Daniel Logan attacked him with the bat around 5 a.m. Sept. 11 in Georgetown, Texas, according to police and a local report.

So you're ranting as if it's a done deal this cretin will do less than 25 years? If the kid dies, it's a life sentence without the possibility of parole on the table.

Given that it's Texas, NOT a blue state by any means, your rant about liberals does not apply. Hell, Texas just let a corrupt AG walk scot free due to party line votes!

I agree out justice system leaves a LOT to be desired regarding sentencing across the board (local, state, federal). But in this particular instance, your OPINION does NOT equate fact given the political history of the state.
