Some rabid trumpers on this site have said they will write his name in or not vote at all. No republican is going to defeat Biden regardless of who the republican is, nearly half the republicans have already said they WILL NOT vote for Trump if he is found guilty of ANY of the charges. With nearly 100 felony charges do you actually think he won't be found guilty of any of them? Federal prosecutors have a 99.6% conviction rate. To put those numbers in perspective, U.S. Attorneys filed 79,704 cases in 2018. Of those, only 320 resulted in acquittals. Trump has 44 federal charges against him, all felonies. To think he is going to be found innocent of all of them is quite a stretch.

Each state decides who is on or not on their ballot and it is the sec of that state and/or the governor that decides. There is no "law" that says any state must put anyone on a ballot. If a state decides that Trump is ineligible based on the 14th amendment they do not have to have a conviction. They certainly do not need a conviction if Trump is able to postpone his trials. I would not be at all surprised if some states come out saying that if Trump is not acquitted of all charges PRIOR to the election he will not be on our ballot. If he is ineligible to serve if found guilty why would a state put someone on their ballot not knowing whether or not he will be eligible to serve if he wins? They certainly could pull a Donald Trump and deny him any electoral votes saying he is not eligible to have them.

it won't make a difference if he is found guilty, but if he's found not guilty of any of the charges before the election, who ever else is running will never catch up.......and if you don't win the House or fail to hold the Senate (both likely) you won't be able to spend another four years trying to impeach him....

sorry....being alleged to have committed a crime is not a bar to being a president.....any state that refused to put him on the ballot would be ordered by the court to correct their error.....also, it would likly earn more votes for Trump if they were stupid enough to try.....just like your other obvious attempts to keep him from winning have.....

He has been charged and they have every right to remove him from their ballot. And it was 4 grand juries in 4 different states that unanimously decided that he should be charged, not a bunch of nitwits. The states could EASILY say his name won't be there unless he is acquitted of all charges.

Nonetheless, he must be presumed innocent until convicted,
so I can't see the moral justification for disqualifying his candidacy on the bases of the charges.

Disqualifying him on the basis of his not having an adequate IQ is up to the voters,
and one out of two times so far,
the voters weren't up to the task.

no.....one grand jury in Fulton County, one grand jury in Washington DC (the source of Smith's indictments in DC and in Florida) and Bragg's grand jury in NYC.......three of the bluest places in the country.......

The red "places" are generally complicit in Trump's crimes.
It's the responsibility of the blue "places" to take Trump's ugly ass out of the picture.
