Trump inside D.C. court for arraignment

Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, will set Trump's trial date on August 28th 2023?!! Trump defense team want time to go over the prosecutions evidence, I would give them till February 2024 to get it together?!! I personally would like to see the trial held before this year is out?!! Lock Him Up!

...The wildcard is U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is expected to preside over the case. During Thursday’s arraignment, Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya communicated several messages from Chutkan that hinted she may be inclined to advance the case more speedily than Trump prefers.

Upadhyaya relayed that Chutkan wants the parties to appear before her again this month — offering three proposed dates: Aug. 21, 22 or 28. Prosecutors said they would do any but preferred the earliest. Lauro said he wanted Aug. 28, which Upadhyaya accepted.

Chutkan also asked prosecutors, via Upadhyaya, to formally file a requested trial date and estimate of the length of their case by Aug. 10. Trump’s team, she added, must respond to that filing by Aug. 17.

Upadhyaya had one more message from Chutkan as well: The judge intends to set a trial date at the Aug. 28 conference....

The betting line has Smith filing he needs only about 70 days to present his case. The Trump team will try to argue they need months for the defense but will not be able to substantiate they need even a couple weeks and thus she will set the trial to begin in Jan 2024 with plenty of time to happen before the May Florida case.

We call it the scales of Justice re-balancing. But not quite fully.

Trump can surely get a more fair trial in Washington than the DoJ can get in Florida where that case is presided over by a Judge who already got harshly scolded by her enormously conservative Superior court for her positions that put Trump outside the law and with a jury pool that overwhelming Trump derps.

So having this one in Washington just goes a long way to balancing everything out.

If we have a vote process and I know you chose a very biased person as one vote to your position, i can balance that by choosing one vote biased to the other position to bring it back to neutral.

I believe Smith purposely gave a Cliff Notes indictment for just this reason. Further, he can add indictments for the co conspirators if they opt not to cooperate.
