R Rep Ronny Jackson arrested for helping child

CNN

Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas was handcuffed and placed on the ground face-first by local law enforcement while he was trying to assist a teenage girl in medical distress at a rodeo over the weekend, according to a witness who spoke to CNN.

In a Facebook post, Linda Dianne Shouse, a home healthcare and traveling nurse, said her 15-year-old relative was “seizing due to possible hypoglycemia” Saturday night at the White Deer rodeo, about 45 miles northeast of Amarillo, Texas. Jackson represents the Amarillo area and was an attendee at the rodeo.

Shouse said she and another family member, who is also a nurse, were attending to the girl when Jackson, who is an ER physician, stepped in to assist. Shouse said she didn’t know Jackson was a congressman at the time but told CNN they were all working together to help the teen girl.

Sounds like the local Authorities thought they were Rambo or something, and not being to assess the situation fast enough!

This is not going to look good for the Local authority until they explain their own confusion in the matter!

Could be over policing, abusing their authority, but I would like to hear what they have to say about this.

Police becoming the problem rather than the solution.

There has to be more to this story than we are being told though.

It sounds as if the Police and Ronny Jackson didn't communicate very well.

You are just brain dead

I’ve started threads about YOU ARE NEXT

ROFL

I live in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, the land of open Mexican Supremacy. Whites are on the BOTTOM of the totem pole as far as the cops are concerned out here. Yorba Linda is still pretty American, but venture into Santa Ana and you better speak Spanish - especially if the cops pull you over.

I would need to see the body cam footage before I make a decision here.

If this guy refused to back off and let emergency personal take over there might be probably cause for him being detained.

And he wasn't arrested by the way.

Being a congressman and a doctor doesn't give you the right to overrule the police.

The police behaved badly. And if the girl suffers medical complications, the police will be liable for denying care.

Hopefully she is ok.

Just not enough information on this right now to make a determination.

Did the congressman possibly even hinder the help for the girl?

We don't know.

Remember that doctors are not EMS. They may know the medical behind it but they are not trained to deal with emergency situations outside of the hospital.

He’s an ER doctor idiot

The Texas cops must've thought the girl they were helping was an undocumented immigrant.

This can't be.

Jackson is white, and cops ONLY act badly with blacks.

You racist democrats tell us this all the time....

I wouldn't say ONLY, just often. Like here:

Arizona man drowns in lake as officers watch: ‘I’m not jumping in after you’

An Arizona man drowned in a reservoir as three police officers watched, refusing to step in and save him.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Sean Bickings, drowned in Tempe town lake while three unnamed Tempe police officers stood by and watched, one telling Bickings “I’m not jumping in after you,” Fox 10 Phoenix first reported.

He’s an ER doctor idiot

Any doctor can be an ER doctor but treating people on site requires a different skill set.

For example, an ER doctor doesn't have the experience to know how best to extract someone from a car wreck, they just know how to deal with the injuries.

Police have to assess the situation they arrive at so yes they are going to tell people to get back.

That is their job.

For all they knew at that time was that he may have had no medical training.

Not sure what is so hard to understand here.

Suppose you were to collapse and I claimed I was a medical doctor and poked you in the throat with a pen because I thought you needed to breath better....the police cannot take that risk.
