Fantasy Land of the Right. Notice the absence of any link. But if you do Google, say, "BLM protestors beat policemen" what comes back is link after link to cops beating BLM protestors, not the other way around.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
In addition to myself, both my dad and my son served in the military.
I very seriously disagreed with the war in which I was coerced to participate.
I regard it as one of the lowest points in American history.
I don't want to have two beautiful young kids in their dress blues [although I hear the army is bringing Class As back]
play a bugle and give my wife a flag because I participated in it. I'm passing on that.
That shouldn't be that hard for you to understand.

Agreed the police should have shot down all the traitors, pedo nazis and other scumbags attacking Congress on 1/6. Next time will be different.
Well if you are a cop and being attacked then yes, that is kind of expected.
That is why they are issued firearms in the first place.

If you had said that from the very beginning we wouldn't have gotten off on the wrong foot to begin with.
As a POI after going to Nam I realized we should never have escalated our involvement in fact we were lied to by a Democrat president. So in short Nam was a tragic mistake.
In that case they were told not to shoot. It would have saved the taxpayers a lot of time and money to shoot down the traitors when they breeched the police line.

When would a police officer be told not to shoot if their lives are in danger?
That doesn't happen and when their lives are in danger they usually don't have time to ask permission.
If someone is threatening them they take out their gun and shoot.

Then why allow them to carry guns if they aren't allowed to use them?
Ask them. I'd have been fine with them shooting down every traitor who entered Congress.
