Claiming the law made it illegal would require you to cite the law and then show how his actions violated that law.

Most of the laws concerning classified documents require willful intent. That means you have to show that the person knew they had the documents and refused to return them. Which specific law do you think Biden violated by having documents he said he didn't know he had?

The law is the law, it isn't supposed to make exceptions and this will be brought up by Trumps lawyers.
