1 in 3 Seattle Residents Relocate out of the City Due to Crime and Cost One in three Seattle residents are relocating out of the city due to public safety concerns over daily crimes and high cost of living prices, according to a Seattle Times/Suffolk University poll published in June.About 33% of Seattle residents surveyed said they were seriously considering moving out of the city. Sixty-seven percent said they were not.

The poll of 500 residents was conducted by phone from June 12-16, with a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.Among the residents who say they are considering leaving, 37% blamed rising housing costs, and 34% cited public safety as their primary reason for moving.

Voting for Democrats has consequences. Many of these people voted themselves out of their own city.

Democrats are masochists. They know that voting for these far left loons will cause the cities that they live in to disintegrate into crime filled hell-holes.

I’m likely reading this wrong but to me it seems to be saying two different things.

One sentence is saying 1/3 of the City is moving out and another is saying 1/3 of the City is considering moving out.

Seattle has a population of over 700K people. If 1/3 actually moved out that would be like 240K people. That would make national news because that would be an absolute collapse and that hasn’t happened.

Seattle lost population but it was less than 1%.

We quit going in to downtown Seattle about six years ago. I go down to Washington for fill in work occasionally and I hear the same thing from the folks that live there - they DO NOT venture into Seattle anymore.

It gives the motivations for leaving Seattle.

There are obviously people moving into Seattle and after a short period of time, they will leave too.

I would think that lots of people are moving there for the free stuff and drugs and no accountability for the crimes that they commit.

People are fleeing democratic cities by the droves.

Look at the projections for 2030.

San Francisco and New York are leading the pack with about a 60% and 40% loss projected.

Meanwhile, Texas, Arizona and Florida are expected to receive the majority of these refugees.

What does that tell you?

My son is there this week but he is not staying in Seattle but is camping on Mt. Rainier.

He will only pass through the airport there.

Indeed…it tells me that red states care more about their citizens than blue states.

These red states actually prosecute thugs and remove them from the streets.

The blue states and cities welcome illegals…until if comes time to fund them.

Amazingly, Bellingham is a model city that shows how -rats can actually do it right… if they try.
I’ll be going down to Olympia at the end of the month for a couple of weeks. Never been there. Hope it’s more like Bellingham than Seattle.

The article is from the Epoch Times. Often their stories do not accurately describe what their sources state. This story does include a link to the poll.

A few weeks ago the Epoch Times had a story based on a medical study that said athletes were dying from the Covid vaccine due to heart problems. I went to the actual study and it concluded by saying there was no link.

I’ve never been to Washington State but I have seen videos…the scenic beauty is stunning.

Nor have I been to Oregon…but I would like to, but not Portland.

Why do the citizens allow these once beautiful paradises to change into Somali hellholes?

If you believe the Seattle Times/Suffolk University poll to be inaccurate, post a poll with a link refute it.

I don't know if the poll is inaccurate. I was just cautioning that what the poll actually says and what the Epoch Times reported may not be the same. It often stretches, misinterprets, or lies about the source material.

1/3 may have said they are considering moving, but that doesn't mean they are seriously planning to do so. People always claim they are moving out of the U. S. if X is elected, but they never do.

I'm sure a lot of Seattle residents are disgruntled about their city.

This is my theory…. It starts with a small number of trash people who vote dim of course. They foul up the neighborhood, The decent people move to greener pastures until most of them have left, leaving only the lowest of society, all of whom vote dim. And not only do they vote dim but they vote for the worst of the dims who tolerate petty crime, open drug use, etc. It snowballs out of control.

I don’t doubt that polling shows a high number of people are considering leaving. We see the same polling numbers in SF and California. But considering leaving and actually leaving are two very different things.

So for them to claim 1/3 of the City moved out:

1) doesn’t pass the sniff test

2) can be easily looked up and the numbers are nothing like that - it doesn’t make sense to fabricate numbers that way; don’t understand why they would do that unless they truly don’t give AF and assume people will not question it?

So, you can't refute the poll, just question the source that published the poll.

Sure thing.

Indeed...I concur 100%.

I question the ability of the Epoch Times to accurately report what the poll actually said. That is because people read it who want a right-wing interpretation of events that seek negative views of the left; similar to MSNBC, CNN, NewsMax, Fox.....

It is based on reading many stories from the Epoch Times and comparing it to the original source--like the story I mentioned about about the virus vaccine. It completely reversed the conclusion of the study.

I grew up in the New Orleans area and left in 1991 thinking it couldn’t possibly get worse. It did.
Drivers don’t even stop at red lights anymore for fear of being carjacked.
They’re now basically yield signs.
The cops are understanding.
