Supreme Court rules businesses can refuse service to LGBTQ+ customers

Yet another repressed conservative and pitiful loser ^

Yet another spoiled little drama queen crybaby ^^^ who can't get over the notion he/she/it was raised to believe, that all you have to do is want something and the rest of the world has to bend over backwards to make sure you get it.

You seem like a typical idiot American who doesn't understand the world. What if there is no "gay bakery" -- whatever the fuck that means? Better yet, what if there are no "gay gas stations" and "gay grocery stores" and "gay internet service providers"? Your position is that people who don't "agree with" gay people (and let's be very clear: every single person like that is a shit person who should not be allowed to own a business that exchanges in the public markets) should be allowed to preclude LGBTQ people from full participation in an equal society.

For that, you un-American asshole, you can go fuck yourself.

Then you get a regular fucking cake and go about your sad, queer life.

Get one of your queer friends to decorate it with pictures of dicks or whatever it is these two sausage smokers were asking for.

Just stop trying to force people to conform to your Queer Gestapo Mafia demands

The difference is that that adulterers are not a protected class so of course anyone can deny service on that basis. So you are now okay with a business denying service on the basis of race, gender, or religious belief? You think that’s okay? I don’t.

And the alt reich Court lapped it up like thirsty kittens.

The alphabet freaks should have never been granted "protected class" status to begin with.

How does one prove that one is really an L, or a G, or a B, or a T, or a Q or one of any of the other ever expanding list of bullshit categories?

Anyone can claim to be one of them then use it to create issues for someone else.

The real underlying point here that neither these fruitcakes nor their cheerleaders seem to understand is that the harder they try to force the rest of society to go along with their silliness, the harder the rest of society is going to push back.

Before all this alphabet, pronoun, gay "education" (indoctrination) in school curriculum, forcing artisans to create pro-queer content, etc, etc began, I was a fairly solid supporter of gay (etc, etc) rights and looked upon them as a group, as friendly, civilized, gentle people who just wanted to be left alone to live their lives without harassment and to be able to live and shop and dine etc, wherever they wanted.

Over the past couple of few years, I have come to change my opinion of them. Now I see them as just another bunch of obnoxious, pushy opportunistic power grabbers with an agenda they want to beat the rest of us over the head with.

I'm almost to the point where I will start voting for candidates who vow to fight them, no matter how much I might detest that candidate for all other purposes.

Yes, that's how disgusted you people are making me with your attitudes and behaviors.

And it has nothing to do with who or what you have relationships with.

Gays are just people acting as god created them. I guess fake Christians are very hateful and assume the power to judge others. They do not like what god makes. Gays are not groomers. That would be pedophiles. Gays just seek adult relationships with other adult gays. It is none of your business and you should stay out of it.
Want to stop groomers, keep a close eye on religious people like priests.

Your argument lacks any critical thought. No one has to prove they are part of a protected class. It is not THEIR actions that are protected. It is protection FROM fucking idiots like you. So, yes, they do need protected class status, and they need it because of bigots like you, who claim the moral authority to deem something as 'unacceptable'.

We don't want you on our side. Go vote for Trump.

I finally ran out of patience with this imbecile and didn't read one word of this latest rant. RIP, shit for brains.

Beautiful, you didn’t even read the article you offered:

“The artwork that I create is speech," Smith told Colorado Public Radio in December, adding that, "those messages must be consistent with my convictions”

“The First Amendment envisions the United States as a rich and complex place where all persons are free to speak as they wish, not as the government demands. Colorado cannot deny that promise consistent with the First Amendment," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion.”

“The opportunity to think for ourselves and to express those thoughts freely is among our most cherished liberties and part of what keeps our Republic strong," Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion.”

It is speech, speech, which creates an array of issues going forward with the possibility of two constitutional rights conflicting

Which two rights? Speech and...?

What a fucking idiotic attempt at obfuscation ^^^.

Of course they don't have to prove it. That was my point.... they COULDN'T even if they were asked to.

It's an unprovable claim, and as such, dubious at best.

Therefore, any Queer Gestapo Mafia agent provocateurs like the wedding cake queers (who for all we know might not be queer at all, but something akin to those Project Veritas propagandists who send actors around posing as people who they aren't in order to create some kind of publicity) could pose as a couple of queers just to create controversy and generate sympathy for their queer agenda.

If someone isn't really part of the "protected class", then they are not entitled to any "special" protection that anyone else doesn't get, you pandering rube.

I can't believe you're too fucking blind and obtuse to get that.

What a load of your usual bloated with hypocrisy bloviation.

The jackbooted asshole who regularly struts and goose steps around here, claiming the moral authority to find other people's opinions and points of view 'unacceptable', now tries to chide someone else for finding the queer Nazi agenda unacceptable.

:palm:

Fuck you Hoodieman. :fu:

You've never been anywhere close to as smart or superior as you try to come across.

Liar.

You lap up everything I post like a thirsty kitten.

I haven't read the case, yet, but does it only apply to artistic expression (speech) or any public accommodations? The earlier case about a baker basically only applied to creative activity.

Does this also mean that businesses can refuse to do business with right wing extremist?????????

FWIU, it only applies to any kind of custom created product that contains a message or promotes a set of values, ideas, etc, which some people are opposed to.

Something like that.

your tin foil hat is rotting your brain

His tin foil hat is better than your abject ignorance.

"The request in dispute, from a person identified as 'Stewart,' wasn't the basis for the federal lawsuit filed preemptively seven years ago by web designer Lorie Smith, before she started making wedding websites. But as the case advanced, it was referenced by her attorneys when lawyers for the state of Colorado pressed Smith on whether she had sufficient grounds to sue."

The woman with the website obviously thought the person/couple was gay when she refused to do a wedding site for them.

She was violating the Colorado law when she refused to make the site whether they were gay or straight.

Typical, lying right wing crackpot. The problem is now she has a Supreme Court full of similar sociopaths.

This court planned on making this ruling to allow discrimination. That is why they reached so far to get a case. They made a mistake. The case is not real.

Roe v. Wade had a similar issue. By the time the case reached the Supreme Court Norma McCovey already had her child long before. So, she was not being harmed by the law. Also, the woman was not subject to punishment but the doctor performing the abortion.

Sarah Weddington, her attorney, had another couple on stand-by and a doctor in case the court questioned whether Roe had standing to sue.

In this case, the plaintiff was never harmed by the law. She had no business.

The dipshit also claims the business is fake

The least shocking thing ever is you are siding with this retard.

She was not creating websites. Nor did the guy, who is not gay ask her to.

the request is a matter of fact. who sent it is irrelevant. it was sent through an official site.

And yes, she was creating websites.

you morons with your tin foil hats are hilarious

Supreme Court rules businesses can refuse service to LGBTQ+ customers

https://www.axios.com/2023/06/30/supreme-court-lgbtq-wedding-website

WINNING AND ON A ROLL!!!!!

:trumpdance:

We have to remember that Axios isn't a legitimate source for news and information.

The court did NOT rule that businesses can refuse service to LGBTQ+ customers. A restaurant cannot refuse service to persons, nor can a motel. The ruling is that businesses and persons cannot be compelled to craft or create items that violate religious beliefs. A Jew who is a sculptor cannot be compelled to create a 50 foot Swastika, nor can a Christian web designer be forced to created an LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+1%2 website.
