DeSantis showboating could cost Florida billions

Back before Biden opened the borders, workers came on temporary visas and harvested the crops. Then they went home.

Biden changed all that. He hasn’t gotten one policy right in 40 years.

I no longer believe Earl is lying. I think he's severaly brain-damaged to the point of retardedness.

All the sane, intelligent and educated people know that GW Bush asked for such a program but the Republican Congress shot it down.

2017. LOL Yes, the temp visa program exists, but as GW Bush pointed out, it needs to be revamped.

Here's another problem under #45's fucked up administration: 2019 https://www.theatlantic.com/interna...crisis-people-overstaying-their-visas/587485/
The Real Illegal Immigration Crisis Isn’t on the Southern Border
Focusing on asylum seekers who cross land borders ignores the real problem: people who overstay their visas.

But in the past 10 years, visa overstays in the United States have outnumbered border crossings by a ratio of about 2 to 1,...

...In the U.S., visa overstays have exceeded illegal border crossings in each of the past seven years. In 2016, about 515,000 people arrived in the United States illegally, the Center for Migration Studies said in a report. Of these, 320,000, more than three-fifths, overstayed their visas, and the rest crossed a land border illegally. But tracking people who enter the U.S. legally until they leave is difficult. The Department of Homeland Security conducted its own analysis for fiscal year 2017, and its estimate was 702,000 overstayers. (To be clear, that number is a small fraction, 1.33 percent, of the more than 50 million people who arrive in the U.S. each year on valid visas.)

People who focus on "the Wall" to stop illegal immigration and visa overstays are fucking morons.

You get your "thoughts" from your masters who want you to believe certain false things.

Of course farmers don't want to "pay a decent wage." They can't afford to. That's why they hire migrant workers, legal or not legal. Duh.

People like ptif219 are the problem because they are not just ideological, they are dumb.

the conservative side of the ledged is just filled with dumb people, and i hate to say it, but it is true.

ptif219 does not understand that while we might all agree 'higher wages are a good thing' and want that, generally, there are certain industries, like Farming, that will simply cease to exist if they have to pay American workers the wages they would demand to do that work.

So does America benefit if they go from 'Farms supported by migrant labor' to 'Farms bankrupted and gone'? The obvious answer to that is no. America benefis by allowing for migrant labor to do the work Americans will not, and those Farms providing cheaper groceries to each citizen and thus allowing them to keep more money in their bank account and then all the related spin off jobs Farms support in many of these rural communities where the Farm and their workers spending may be the needed heart of that community that generates the more high paying jobs.

But sadly that is a nuanced discussion you just cannot have with a dumb person who just grunts 'pay decent wages' and thinks that can work for all Farms. They would see mass inflation and mass farm loss across the country as a result of their push, and turn around and blame Dems for it.

Bush’s aim must not have been very good.

The temporary visa program that worked well has been “shot down” by Slow Joe’s open borders.

Thank Al Gore for inventing the Information SuperHighway where everyone can have an equal voice.

GORE MAKES HISTORIC TRIP DOWN `INFORMATION HIGHWAY’
By Deseret News Jan 14, 1994,
In a hands-on demonstration of the "information superhighway" technology he has been promoting, Vice President Al Gore conducted the first computer-based news conference from the White House on Thursday night. He made history and only a few typographical errors.

Gore, appearing comfortable at the computer keyboard and displaying more than a passing acquaintance with the electronic realm known as cyberspace, spent 45 minutes reading and responding to typed questions that scrolled down his screen from unseen questioners from California to France. The questioners were not journalists. And with the exception of a single question on the strife in Bosnia, all the questions concerned the administration's proposed "national information infrastructure" and its possible effects on people's everyday lives.

The unseen questioners revealed their diversity.

"I'm handicapped and spend a lot of time on the Net," wrote Larry H. Lewis from Alta Loma, Calif.

"Hello from Reynoldsburg, Home of the tomato!" typed in Ben Huntoon, apparently from Ohio.

In all, about 900 computer users were crowded - electronically speaking - into the the news conference, which Gore conducted from his White House office in the West Wing.

It was sponsored by U.S. News & World Report, which has an electronic version that is carried over Compuserve Information Service.

With the exceptions of his clicking keyboard, the reading of the questions by Gore and his typed responses for the benefit of a dozen onlookers in his office and countless others watching via C-Span, the news conference seemed eerily silent by White House standards.

Good points. I've always thought that basic economics should be a required h.s. course.

I wonder how many of these anti-migrant-worker dupes know that importing foreign workers to do "menial" jobs like farming, service industry, etc. is a global phenomenon? It's esp. big in the oil-rich ME countries.

Very few. Mainly because they are poorly educated and/or demented racist dumbasses whipped up by ideas of white nationalism. GW Bush asked for limited immigration reform because he knew from the Texas economy as Governor how important those workers were to the State.

Fucking morons like Earl think moving the needle a bit, along with building a 2000 mile wall, is all that's necessary to fix the problem. Why? Because that's what he's told and, as a racist, that's what he wants to believe.

Bush’s aim was three ticks to the left…a complete miss.

Dumbasses should know that but they don’t.

One of the posters on this thread missed too.

Perhaps he is one of the “poorly educated and/or demented racist dumbasses.”

Surrender accepted.

Walls work, ask Obama. Racists disagree with Obama. Perhaps these racist dumbasses think Obama and his family. are not worthy of protection. That’s raaacist (sic).

It would be nice if you were going to quote irrelevant stuff if you'd not cut the quotes off mid-sentence. But that's way above your pay grade, isn't it?

No i understand perfectly.

You don't care about the Wall. If Trump changes tomorrow and is anti wall, you will follow him and change too. You actively hate on people who supported the Wall being built, buying in to Trumps rhetoric and are angry that he built so little and so much time and money were wasted.

You are ok with the wasted time and effort as long as Trump put up one foot of Wall, as you don't really care about the Wall. You care about Trump only.

more wall is better. he built more wall.

if he was all the sudden against more wall and more tariffs i would not longer support him.

im an issues voter.

globalism stupidity is my main issue.

what are you?

Your post about non-ag visas is irrelevant to this discussion, which is about your demi-god DeSatan's blunder with his latest LOOK-AT-ME-DOING-SOMETHING-OVER-HERE-ABOUT-THAT bill.

Another #AttentionWhoreFail, pEarl. You're really racking 'em up. :rofl2:

no.

you're just threatening me because you're an asshole.

Indeed, anyone who posts 118,000 posts in 3 years must be a frightened, wrinkled old man with no friends. An uneducated, racist coward, too.

I'd ask you to back up your false claims of threats, but since you never do, I won't.

As for being an "asshole", you can thank our nation for training me to support and defend our Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, even if I have to be an asshole to do it. LOL
