The black line is data from the CRU, the other two are NASA and the NCDC. Any collusion between these three competing bodies would require the consent of hundreds of scientists, any one of which would benefit tremendously from divulging any hidden data.

And the reliability of the CRU data was not called into question by the stolen E-Mails controversy.
 
"trick to hide the decline" - they were talking about replacing tree ring data that began to diverge from actual recorded temperatures around the 60's for reasons we don't know.

"It's a tragedy we can't account for the cooling" - maybe he wanted there to be more warming, but it doesn't say he was manipulating the data.


If there were any more serious evidence of fraud than this the hackers would have published it. The fact that this is all they could come up with should tell you a lot.
 
As someone who has been on the fence on global warming for a long time, watching this unfold has definitely pushed me into the skeptic zone. Seeing how the scientists involved are biased at best and manipulating data at worst has made me skeptical about the soundness of the theory as a whole. I do not pretend to have studied the issue extensively. It does not interest me remotely. But I do feel that my opinion is a decent indicator of the public at large on this issue, simply because my knowledge about global warming comes almost exclusively from news headlines. Does ClimateGate show that global warming is a hoax? Certainly not. But it does suggest to observers that they should employ a degree of caution in accepting the conclusions of these scientific bodies as infallible. Seeing the agenda that at least a handful of top scientists were openly pushing in their email exchanges should warn casual observers who have not had the time or desire to research the issue extensively to be cautious about accepting the scientific communities' conclusions as Gospel.

Your graph shows a +1 C change in temps since 1850.

It doesn't show whether this was from man-made activity, nature, solar activity, environment, or just plain old normal cycle of Earth's warming and cooling. No one is disputing that it is 1C warmer now than 1850, but that is not going to cause catastrophe, it never has before-- but even if it does, there isn't a lot man can do to prevent it, because man's contribution to it is nominal!

I have maintained all along, if the polar icecaps melted completely, and cause flooding of property along the coasts, etc., as the 'Warmers' suggest... it would have long-since, destroyed the convective currents of our ocean, which would cease to work, turning our oceans into stagnant ponds uninhabitable by any aquatic life to speak of, and weather would be going off-the-chart crazy by then. The last worry anyone would have, would be what to do about coastal flooding!

they manipulated the data....they were not unbiased and scientific....it shows they falsely portrayed the data.....

MSM or obama media ignored this story for weeks.....they just recently started talking about it....you can't sweep this under rug....and all your graphs prove squat, as they are probably based on the bogus data....
 
we need an ice age, badly. I'll enjoy watching all the statists and totalitarians freeze to death because they relied on their government to watch out for them instead of being prepared for their own survival.

We are now in the 11th year of what "valid" climate scientists' call a cooling period that fits into a normal cyclical pattern. Something many scientists' have stated was occuring pre-climategate. It is expected to last for about 30years.

This is a seperate issue from pollution which does require man to be reponsible for the planet~~~it's just not the dire "the sky is falling" BS that got Gore and other social liberals rich scam.

Well considering his home uses more than 20 times the national average, he needs that money to pay the utility company.

Now he's saying he hasn't read the emails in question, and then turns around and says they're about 10 yrs old. Those would be last months emails.

The man is a liar. He whines: Do you think I would spend the last 30 yrs of my career to promote a lie?

I dont care what these E-Mails say. "Their most likely fakes".

Climate change is happening.Sence we cant yet move to another planet were stuck with the environment we have.We live in a fish bowl. everthing that we put into the environment stays in the environment and dosn't go away just because to put it in the trash.It only makes logical sence. We can help but changes in the climate and environment.

13 years of emails and the most damning thing they could come up with was them talking about how they couldn't account for the cooling and they used actual recorded temperatures rather than tree ring data because the recorded temps were accurate and the tree rings were not.

AGW is DEAD OMG!
