What is woke about the lil mermaid?

Other than the forlorn wails of MAGAs, it wouldn't even have occurred to me that casting a black actress as a mermaid would be even remotely controversial.

Really. It's a fucking Disney movie, not likely to change the world or even a genre. But Reichwingers gotta moan about *something.* The topic generally brought the racists boiling out of the cracks, didn't it?

the increasing amount of 'woke' shows and movies that they are removing from their streaming show's that they are listening instead of going broke like target and bud lite

Listening to white supremacist bigots, Special Agent STY?

Gay parades, African-American mermaids and Bud Light have no effect upon my life, but I can tell it affects many of the idiots on JPP.

The nicknames that misgender people in an attempt to insult them are simply priceless...

One of Fox's talking heads was upset that a store had a black Santa. She said everyone knows that Santa is white. I guess everyone knows that mermaids are white too.
Rightys just look for shit to bitch about. Who would be hurt if they went on with life and paid no attention to such things?

To be fair, Santa Claus is based on a real person.

Sinterklaas (Dutch: [ˌsɪntərˈklaːs]) or Sint-Nicolaas (Dutch: [sɪnt ˈnikoːlaːs] (listen)) is a legendary figure based on Saint Nicholas, patron saint of children. Other Dutch names for the figure include De Sint ("The Saint"), De Goede Sint ("The Good Saint") and De Goedheiligman ("The Good Holy Man"). Many descendants and cognates of "Sinterklaas" or "Saint Nicholas" in other languages are also used in the Low Countries, nearby regions, and former Dutch colonies.[note 1]

The feast of Sinterklaas celebrates the name day of Saint Nicholas on 6 December. The feast is celebrated annually with the giving of gifts on St. Nicholas' Eve (5 December) in the Netherlands and on the morning of 6 December, Saint Nicholas Day, Belgium, Luxembourg, western Germany, northern France (French Flanders, Lorraine, Alsace and Artois), and Hungary. The tradition is also celebrated in some territories of the former Dutch Empire, including Aruba.

Sinterklaas is one of the sources of the popular Christmas icon of Santa Claus.

No he's not... love your nickname for him though... that explains quite a bit...

See what happens when you refuse to use the pronouns people ask to be used

He doles out that same disrespect to children just trying to be themselves
