“LOS ANGELES (AP) — The U.S. is setting a record pace for mass killings in 2023, replaying the horror on a loop roughly once a week so far this year. The carnage has taken 88 lives in 17 mass killings over 111 days. Each time, the killers wielded firearms”

“The bloodshed represents just a fraction of the fatal violence that occurs in the U.S. annually. Yet mass killings are happening with staggering frequency this year: An average of once every 6.53 days, according to an analysis of The AP/USA Today data.”

“Experts and advocates decry the proliferation of guns in the U.S. in recent years”

“We have to know that this isn’t the way to live,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “We don’t have to live this way. And we cannot live in a country with an agenda of guns everywhere, every place and every time.”

I know this is a useless topic in forums as this given the gun huggers desire to live “in a country with an agenda of guns everywhere, every place and every time,” but the reality happens so often now, it can not be completely ignored

If more guns actually made us safer, it would follow given that the the sheer number of guns already out there in America, we should be the safest developed nation in the world, but in fact, the opposite is true

Poor anchovies, we need more Soros appointed DA's. That would fix the problem. Until then, stay masked in your basement.

But things like cashless bail has NOTHING to do with this right?

Why are we still talking about shootings in America?
It's a totally unnecessary subject for discussion.

As long as there are Americans in America,
there will be shootings in America.

Americans have to eat, sleep, and cap each other's asses in order to live.

Los Angeles?

You mean the most anti-gun city in the nation?

You clowns can't be taken seriously.

there are numerous countries out there that are in your wheelhouse of less guns. move there.

Why, I live here, and unfortunately have to reside inside of the idiocy, luckily though, I do live in a Blue State with lower gun violence, it you gun huggers would only keep your inanity in your home States life would be better

It's getting harder to spin.

I believe in 2nd amendment rights - but I also believe in common sense restrictions & rules. Those 2 things are not incompatible.

And obviously, we're lacking when it comes to addressing issues w/ mental health.

Would be alright but the shootings are escalating more and occurring at a more alarming rate, hard to ignore the reality
