Fort Hood shooting suspect Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan permanently paralyzed from chest down, says lawyer

Maj. Nidal M. Hasan, the alleged Fort Hood gunman recuperating from the gunshot wounds that ended the murderous rampage, is expected to be permanently paralyzed from the chest down, his lawyer said.

Hasan, the Army psychiatrist charged with killing 13 people in the Nov. 5 massacre, "has no sensation from the nipple area down," Hasan's civilian attorney, John P. Galligan, told the Washington Post.

Galligan said Hasan has been told the paralysis is permanent.

... but could you honestly think of a better punishment? Surely he expected to die, everything that he did prior to the shootings indicated that. He failed. Not only that, he is completely helpless.
 
maybe put him in a room and feed him everyday until the shit piles up to the ceiling so he dies of suffocating in it O_O

I wonder if that would be part of a guard's job.

And just imagine a guard whom the other guards don't like. They would feed the prisoner prunes all day knowing the disliked guard has the evening shift. :rofl:

Imagine, thinking you were going to Paradise to meet your eleventy-two virgins (or whatever it is they are promised) and winding up in a US prison in a wheel chair...

I think life imprisonment would be a far worse punishment than death.
