The story I heard was that Ukraine never had functional possession of nukes, and that the Russians were never going to allow them to have it, which would make Clintons claim BullShit.

First of all, Clinton signed too many of Newt's bills to be a hero to any REAL liberal.
The Arkansas hick was a Republican-Lite.

Second, we wouldn't have too many political heroes of any kind if serial adulterers were disqualified from consideration.
Most of the fucking "Born Again" televangelists were/are serial adulterers, never mind the pols.

However, in 1994, Clinton reached a deal with then-Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk to hand over 1,900 nuclear weapons and rely on the U.S. and the United Kingdom for support."

They did not have the codes to use them, the Russians said that there was zero chance that the Ukrainians would ever have them and they were likely telling the truth, and the West then set about doing what they could to get the Ukrainaians something as they processed that they did not have nukes is how the story goes to the best of my knowledge.

Which would make Clinton a liar, but then again he has been a big liar for his entire life.

I've heard of "launch codes" which refer to the missiles. I have not heard of activation codes for the nukes themselves. I would think that if you have physical access to either component, that the code could be circumvented. JMHO.

It might be so, I am not an expert in this and I have not launched an investigation, but I have read that Ukraine would have never been able to use the Nukes without the Russians giving them the codes, which they said they would never do. Given what Ukraine did in later years I can see why.

Ukraine will win this war. The Ukrainians WANT to fight Russia. Europe knows what it is like to live under Russia's oppressive thumb. As long as they WANT to fight we should help them when they no longer want to fight we should help them negotiate peace.
