I disagree, in fact personally I think its more important that prior presidents not be given special treatment. Its the very idea that they are above the common man that makes leadership dangerous. It is a slippery slope to dictatorship. Trump already argued he should be above the law, that is dangerous to democracy.

I do not really mind some practical considerations for safety reasons, I do not want him killed and he is a target, but other than protection for his safety, I think its shitty to treat a President special.
