I don't support it but I like that the guy did it. Once we start putting restrictions on rights then ALL rights are free game for restrictions. Rights need restrictions but we should apply them very carefully but that's not what happens.

DeSantis, and by extension Floridian lawmakers, are simply expanding upon Trumpian authoritarianism. In their quest to shut down all opposition, they will be stripping Republicans of their rights too.

Pup, it's too authoritarian. There's Left and Right along with Authoritarian and Libertarian. Why do you think the RW authoritarians won't support shutting down the MSM?

there are places in the constitution/bill of rights that say that very thing, like 'shall make no law', 'shall not be infringed', etc.

No one can read our Constitution without concluding that the people who wrote it wanted their government severely limited; the words "no" and "not" employed in restraint of government power occur 24 times in the first seven articles of the Constitution and 22 more times in the Bill of Rights.

the founders experienced the effects of those that wanted rights restricted.....why do you believe that they would fight a war to break free of that, just to create another government that would do the same?

Good point. No doubt there are many bloggers/podcasters/influencers who write glowingly of DeSatan and his ilk. Many use pseudonyms for privacy reasons. Betcha they don't want to have to register and report any earnings their scribblings might earn, either.
