Today is very similar to the 1920's

A century ago, the state of the US in political and social terms was very similar to today... Back then...

The nation was just coming out of Spanish Influenza, the worst Pandemic of the 20th Century.

Inflation and the threat of recession were very real. Inflation was a bit higher than it is right now, the government denied that either was happening or could happen, but people noticed with their greatly diminished buying power.

Socialism and Communism were on the rise in Europe and Asia. In the US Socialists were predicting the US to follow that lead in the near future. The Left was almost giddy with the prospect.

Overseas, the US was seeing its foreign policy crumble into ruin.

The presidency (Wilson) was ineffective as Wilson had had a stroke and was no longer capable of performing his duties.

The result of all this was the Left getting trounced at the polls. Democrats lost bigtime as the nation wanted to get government out of their lives.

Just pointing out history here...

None of it is accurate. You hate the left....wow.

Another prediction of an impending glorious Red Tsunami? Didn't we just have one of those predictions last year?

Except that Democrats far outperformed expectations in the midterms. Ooops. Looks like our Nazi has egg all over his face. Again.

The government is denying that we are experiencing inflation?
Socialism is on the rise in Europe or Asia?
Our foreign policy is crumbling? Ukraine is going pretty well.
Biden had a stroke?
The Democrats got trounced at the polls?

Are you truly an... yes, you are an idiot.

The government is denying that we are experiencing inflation. For example, this tripe from Harris yesterday...

https://www.wbal.com/article/605326...bowie-discusses-action-to-lower-housing-costs

Then there's this pack of lies straight from the White House:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...act-sheet-the-biden-economic-plan-is-working/

Socialism is on the rise in the US at the moment just as it was in the 20's.

Our foreign policy is crumbling...

Biden can't deal with a Chinese balloon. The Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster, and now Pakistan is complaining that many of the weapons we left behind there are being used by insurgents and terrorists in their country. Ukraine is nothing but an endless money pit and distraction while Russia moves closer to China as an ally. North Korea is back to firing missiles regularly and has all of their neighbors worried about another war there. China has ratcheted up the rhetoric on Taiwan. Mexican cartels are moving enough fentanyl into the US to kill every person living in New York and California, and isn't doing a goddamned thing to secure the border as millions of illegals flood into the country.

Biden is senile. His staff hides him from the public as much as they can.

The Democrats did get trounced in the polls in the election following Wilson's time in office, and that continued to happen until FDR was elected. Coolidge, Harding, Hoover.

left bad...fascinating

Left bad:

Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Castro, Mugabe... shall I go on? They caused more deaths than war, privation and poverty, or disease all in the name of creating some Leftist utopia.

In Western Europe, they dumped most of their Socialism in favor of a return to a more Capitalist economy.

Socialism holds economies and people down, it doesn't lift them up nor does it create opportunity for innovation and growth.

So, what's to like about the Left?

Socialism is an evil that leftists wholeheartedly embrace.

This can't be overstated. That band of murderers would love modern American leftists.

I like how the Progressives and Leftists here have ZERO comeback to this other than to try and just deny the truth before their eyes while hurling insults. They got nothing factual to reply with.

Then your fucks crashed the entire world economy with your failed economic ideas

Wow, to be that ignorant of history you must not only not study it, but actively deny it. And, yes, I do hate the Left. Any sane and reasonable person would.

Your shits crashed the entire world economy in the 1920s you fucking brain dead Russian

People always claim they want government out of their lives until they have a crisis, like Ohio, then they scream, why isn’t the government helping us. Isn’t it ironic.

Biden is handling things a lot better than Wilson did.
