A South Carolina woman was shot and killed in a grocery store parking lot after an altercation with a stranger on Valentine's Day.

Tyler Borys said his wife, 26-year-old Alexandria Cress Borys, was loading groceries into her car at the Kroger in Irmo, South Carolina, when she got into an argument with a woman she didn't know, according to FOX 57 Columbia.

After the argument was over, the stranger, later identified by Irmo police as 23-year-old Christina Harrison, allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Borys in the back. The couple's children, a 2-year-old and an infant, were in the car when she was shot.

The Irmo Police Department said the incident took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers arrived to the scene shortly after and pronounced Borys dead.

Harrison initially fled from the parking lot but called to turn herself in around 5:30 p.m. She was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center Tuesday night.

Jail records show Harrison is charged with murder, unlawfully carrying a pistol and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Indeed.

The woman fired the gun, the gun did not fire itself.

Control of violent women is needed.

What an animal. Good thing is she will spend the rest of her days in a CAGE cleaning toilets and being some bull dike's girlfriend.

Those poor children and Husband. This country is degenerating by the day. We can only pray the family can somehow recover from such a loss. Right in front of her own small children....SICK. WAY SICK.

On what do you base this broad conclusion?

I assume you're aware that there have been close to 80 mass shootings this year alone? And in the vast majority of cases, the guns were obtained and owned legally?
Um all the times criminals have violated our gun laws :dunno: provide proof that the guns were owned legal in the VAST MAJORITY

The sickness will get worse and worse at a rapid rate.

They did a study recently; over 75% obtained & owned their guns legally. It's easy to google.

I'm not one to "blame guns" when these things happen. But our gun culture is a factor. Mental illness & the way we handle it are also part of it. There are a lot of reasons for these things, but it's challenging to have an honest dialogue about it, because most want to protect their partisan positions.

As to the incident in the OP: this is why we have to at least try to get back to some sense of civility in America. You won't like hearing it, but Trump pitted all of us against one another, and made our discourse poisonous. Everything under Trump was "us" and "them." People don't see others as merely disagreeing w/ them anymore; others are now the enemy.

It is against federal law to use a firearm in the commission of a violent crime are oh suggesting criminals are following federal firearm laws?

I mean, you've gotta be kidding me.

You just proved what I said about having an "honest dialogue." What a sad attempt at a "gotcha."
