Like I said earlier, obtuseness doesn't look good on anyone. you know how politics is played. you also know that democrats do want to disarm most of us. they don't trust civilians that aren't garnished with official government jewelry.

It's the equivalent to others saying that white supremacy is a cornerstone of the GOP now, when that obviously isn't on the GOP platform.

Banning the AR-15 does not preclude one from defending their home with armed force. The 12 guage shotgun or 38 cal revolver are lethal and effective weapons at short range.

She wasn't armed with an AR 15, was she? A law forbidding civilian ownership of weapons like the AR-15 would not violate the Second Amendment, would not begin to resemble the guns the Founders had in mind when the Amendment was enacted. Clarence Thomas has called on his colleagues on the Court to put themselves in the Founders shoes when interpreting the Constitution. Especially good advice for interpreting the Second Amendment.
They might begin with a sensible interpretation of the Amendment's first clause in relation to its second clause, rather than pretending they are different sentences with dramatically different meanings.

In a Facebook post, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said that 64-year-old Reginald Best of Interlachen, Florida was killed after he stormed into the home of a 67-year-old woman at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The woman said that she heard the door handle of her home shaking at around 3 a.m. and thought it was her husband coming home from work so she got up and opened the door. At that point, authorities say Best barged in with a gun in hand.

"The woman who was armed with a firearm told Best to leave the residence multiple times," police said.

"The woman told deputies Best raised up both arms and she saw he had a firearm in his hand. Fearing for her life, she shot Best one time. After the shooting she called 911."

Best was found by police on the floor bleeding from a single gunshot wound and taken to the hospital, where he later died.....

Like I said - how are you not getting this?

Where is she saying that she needs an AR 15? She has a firearm - and defended herself. There are no rights being denied here, or proposals to deny HER rights from Dems.
