State of the Union Speech about to begin

Twitter (under Elon Musk) flagged Biden's post as disinformation.

Biden's State of the Union temporarily goes off rails over Social Security dig

Biden had previously made this lie about social security and Medicare on a couple of occasions and had been called out for it. It was the height of stupidity to do it again in a major speech before Congress and the nation. Biden should have known better, but he's such a retard and oblivious to reality that he did it again and got a major slap down for it.

“Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans — some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset. I am not saying it’s a majority,” Biden said. As GOP lawmakers in the audience pushed back, Biden responded: “We’re not going to be moved into being threatened to default on the debt if we don’t respond.”

Still, some Republicans refused to back down, with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and others jumping to their feet, some yelling “Liar!”

The president answered back, “Stand up and show them: We will not cut Social Security! We will not cut Medicare!”

As Republicans continued to protest his accusations, he said, “We’ve got unanimity.”

What's the wealthy's "fair share?" How much should the not-so-wealthy pay in taxes?

I did not bring it up. Biden did.

You quoted him here:

That means you were bringing it up as a subject. So, I ask again, what's their fair share? It's a simple question. You only need provide the percentage you think is their fair share.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered the rebuttal to President Biden’s State of the Union speech Tuesday night, and like many of her predecessors, she did herself no favors. The speech was good, mind you—on Fox, Democrat Harold Ford called it “formidable”—it’s the production itself that continues to haunt those who take on the duty.

Translation: She performed badly like most of the others. The reason is that generally only low quality people go into politics now.

I watched it. At several points the lies spewed were stunning. At one point, Joke made one so outrageous that the response from the peanut gallery watching completely flummoxed him into one of his angry defensive rants, going completely off script.
This is a lie, he handled the hecklers, especially Marge the Howler Monkey, brilliantly, even getting them to agree to leave SS and Medicare alone.

He was completely flummoxed. He was staggered by the response, then made up a weak repost, on the fly about having some bullshit stuff at the White House. When that didn't fly and he got more pushback, he STFU and tried to recover by going on with his speech and ignoring it.
This is your wishful thinking and not at all what happened.

that should appease the most ignorant Americans....the ones stupid enough to think the Republicans MIGHT actually do what the demmycrats have said they would and haven't, for the last fifty years.......
