There are far better, more open-minded places to live. Better weather, too. We decided that we will not be spending a single tourist dime in the state until DeSatan is gone and the oppressive fascism has been defeated.

Excellent. More-affluent parents also tend to be more involved with their kids' educations, attend parent-teacher conferences regularly, make sure that their assignments are done and offer help, and show that they value education by treating the educators as partners rather than adversaries or overpaid babysitters. I suppose this is logical as they became more affluent because of education.
