“TSA confiscated record number of guns from airline passengers in 2022”

Local police are not part of the federal government. Furthermore, police exist to serve and protect. Those court cases merely say that police officers can't be held personally liable for failing at their jobs. Nice try.

There was a SCOTUS case years ago that decided police have no Constitutional duty to protect and serve...the only reason they exist is because they are useful tools of white supremacy.

It is my firm belief that humans as a species are not capable of responsibly handling, storing, or securing firearms.

and yet you want humans carrying around weapons all the time, stupidly believing that only those humans are capable of handling, storing, and securing firearms.

45 guns lost or stolen from FBI agents over a three year period: Inspector general report

Only one agent was fired as a result; most were suspended for just three days

irrelevant. government is government at any level. the federal government is not required to protect you either.

Furthermore, police exist to serve and protect. Those court cases merely say that police officers can't be held personally liable for failing at their jobs. Nice try.

no, they don't. they exist to enforce the law. nothing more, nothing less. that you can't see the OBVIOUS idiocy at not being held personally, or as an entity, for failing at their jobs is hilarious. Nice try.

You are the one who wants that, not me.

I'm the one who thinks no one should be allowed to own a gun.

The only people I think should have access to firearms are counterterrorism FBI agents, and the military during wartime.

No one else.

Over that same three year period about 1,000,000 guns were stolen from people just like you.

Only one agent was fired as a result; most were suspended for just three days

So there were consequences...what consequence is there for you if you lose your gun or have it stolen? None.

So there is nothing compelling you to be responsible.

And that is the heart of the problem.

are FBI and the military not humans??????

Calm down and re-read what I wrote.

The only people I think should have access to guns are counterterrorism FBI agents -so not all FBI agents- and the military during wartime.

ACCESS, not ownership.

do robots take them away when they aren't being used?????? you're not very smart, are you?

The impression that the Mind Molders (nee journalists) are trying to leave is that all of these incidents were people trying to carry a gun into the cabin, which might be, that TSA is keeping us safe, but I doubt it is reality.

DO you believe anyone should be allowed to carry any weapon into a plane?

do you expect me to believe that? prove it.

This is the first result of a Google search:

Every day in the U.S., roughly 1 gun is stolen every 90 seconds. That amounts to around 380,000 stolen guns every year, many of which are later used to commit violent crimes.
https://truckvault.com/post/gun-the...day in the U.S.,used to commit violent crimes.

This was from 2012, when there were about 200,000,000 fewer guns in circulation:

Firearms Stolen During Household Burglaries and Other Property Crimes, 2005-2010
About 1.4 million firearms were stolen during household burglaries and other property crimes over the six-year period from 2005 through 2010, according to a report released today by the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). This number represents an estimated average of 232,400 firearms stolen each year— about 172,000 stolen during burglaries and 60,300 stolen during other property crimes.

New survey confirms majority of guns used by criminals are taken from people’s homes and cars
Well, the numbers aren’t exact but in the last decade over 2 million guns were reported stolen. Estimates range anywhere from 237,000 to 380,000 firearms are stolen every year from gun owners. Gun theft is also believed to be significantly underreported. Most states don’t require gun owners to report when their guns have been stolen.

So now what?

So now that we've established hundreds of thousands of guns are stolen from your shitty kind every year, what do you have to say to that?

you clearly don't understand about holding government agents accountable..........

You literally JUST SHOWED CONSEQUENCES...whereas if your stupid ass loses a gun, you don't suffer any consequence at all.

In fact, if you lose your gun, chances are you won't even tell anyone.
