"I am going to get assault weapons banned."--President Biden

To the first part I bolded above, that’s an insult of epic proportions.

To the second part, your point #3, … I fail to see why people can’t understand that. For instance, I was for Biden’s infrastructure bill. You can call it the Democrat in me if you like, but that doesn’t mean I’m “Ridin’ with Biden.”
Sounds like most of the Infrastructure bill was not for infrastructure.

Infrastructure as many people think of it—construction or improvement of bridges, highways, roads, ports, waterways, and airports—accounts for only $157 billion, or 7%, of the plan’s estimated cost. That’s apparently what Vought was referring to. The definition of infrastructure can reasonably be expanded to include upgrading wastewater and drinking water systems, expanding high-speed broadband Internet service to 100% of the nation, modernizing the electric grid, and improving infrastructure resilience. That brings the total to $518 billion, or 24% of the plan’s total cost.

It's a semi-automatic handgun, same functionality as an AR-15.

The only difference is the latter is a big skeery looking gun.

These are not assault weapons and they are protected under the 2nd Amendment.

Machine guns have NEVER been legal. The entire argument is ridiculous and geared towards stupid people.

ALL guns are protected under the 2nd amendment.
Machine guns are legal. You can go down to some gun ranges, rent one, and shoot it right now.

When rights are based upon “need” then the Democrats are racing Trump down the dark path of autocracy and authoritarianism.

The problem isn’t guns. The problem is nutjobs and criminals with guns. Penalizing honest citizens for the actions of a few is as silly as banning cars in the city because of James Fields and Darrell Brooks.

Trump is not an autocrat. He does not condone dictatorship or oligarchy either.
