WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - U.S. Representative George Santos, who lied about much of his resume and life story, will be removed from Congress if found to have broken campaign finance laws, fellow Republican and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said on Sunday.

"He's a bad guy," Comer said on CNN's "State of the Union" program. "It's not up to me or any other member of Congress to determine whether he can be kicked out for lying. Now, if he broke campaign finance laws, then he will be removed from Congress."

He ain’t going anywhere, well, at least to 2024, any effort to remove him will be fought, delayed, appealed, etc, by the GOP, at least GOP supporters with big wallets, McCarthy ain’t going to give up a seat in the House with only a four vote majority. They will tell him to sit in the back, vote as we tell you, and keep your mouth shut
 
New details link George Santos to cousin of sanctioned Russian oligarch

George Santos, the freshman Republican congressman from New York who lied about his biography, has deeper ties than previously known to a businessman who cultivated close links with a onetime Trump confidant and who is the cousin of a sanctioned Russian oligarch, according to video footage and court documents.

Andrew Intrater and his wife each gave the maximum $5,800 to Santos’ main campaign committee and tens of thousands more since 2020 to committees linked to him, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. Intrater’s cousin is Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg, who has been sanctioned by the U.S. government for his role in the Russian energy industry.

Lying is considered free speech by politicians, but an actual crime will see them go to prison. Santos wouldn’t be the first Representative to spend time in a prison cell.

Adam Kinzinger is trying to make it happen with a new petition.

Former GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger has started a petition to get embattled New York Rep. George Santos to resign.

Kinzinger kicked off an online petition on Thursday, the same day Santos appeared on the podcast "War Room: Pandemic" with Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz. During the podcast, Santos said he will resign if more than 142,000 people — the number of people who voted to elect him during the November midterms — call for him to step down.

"On January 12, 2023, disgraced pathological liar and brand new Congressman George Santos promised Matt Gaetz (and the rest of us) that he would resign if 142,000 people signed a petition asking him to do so — the same number of votes he received in November," the petition on Kinzinger's Country First website read. "We're happy to deliver them to his office!"

If they can get a 2/3 vote in the House. That will trigger a special election and Republicans may lose that seat; so, they are reluctant to get rid of him.

We are certain he is a crook and a liar. But we do not know if he is gay. He lied about so much, who knows if anything he says is true. Lyingfish seems to have inside knowledge. Gay is not what people think when the name Santos comes up.
