those things came and went......both passed as I recall......they also passed a bill that children who survive a botched abortion must be given medical care.......Demmycrats were livid.......

:palm: These bills have been passed within the first 2 weeks of this month....they have yet to be yay or nayed by the Senate and then the President. Essentially they protect corrupt politicians who use insider trading information, vote in favor of bills that would benefit private companies they have stock in, etc., etc. Also, they hamstring the IRS in investigating high end tax fraud, etc. (i.e., rich political donors).

As for the "born alive" bill.....pure strawman BS in light of the "victory" of over turning Roe vs. Wade. Riddle me this, Batman; where's the documentation that any failed abortion where a child is born results in purposeful negligence on any level of that child's care by a medical staff? I'll wait.

The Repubs are all about show. They are throwing red meat to the base with ridiculous bills that will die, and they know it, How will they do any work with the investigations and phony bills? They don't do work. they are putting on a show for the right.

MAGA cronies like House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Steve Scalise and Marjorie Taylor Greene have indicated that their top priority in 2023 will be sham investigations into the Biden administration and other democracy defenders, including those charged with investigating the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6th.

We must call out their lies at every turn and combat their far-right agenda to protect our freedoms and our democracy.
