The problem is a guy who thinks he needs all that military equipment to go to the market, is not well. The place was full of customers walking around in tee shirts and jackets. This crazy fuck thinks he needs to be ready for combat to buy eggs. This is exactly the kind of person who would fail a background check. He is nuts and you gun nuts think he is doing a good thing. None of you should pass a check. It is catch-22. If you are nuts enough to want a gun and think you should carry it around, then you are too crazy to qualify for one and should not be allowed to own one.

Prior to open carry being passed here in TX, many of us carried rifles and shotguns to the store, but that was more for a political expression than anything. I'm glad I can just carry the handgun now.

those 'cherry picked' quotes are NUMEROUS..........and not even close to being taken out of context, though what I find funny is you claiming that the quotes are cherry picked, but you can only find a SINGLE chief justice who happens to push your belief, yet i've posted over half a dozen federal and court cases over our history that clearly denotes an individual right.........there are also several past presidents claiming the same, along with the 1982 Senate commission who came to the same conclusion.

And I, nor any of my neighbors or people I know, pack, ever, even those that have guns for hunting, sad to think others have to go thru life worrying about of the guy standing next to him in something as simple as a grocery store is going to shoot him

That is not the, prior to Heller in 2008, no Supreme Court ever in the history of the country ever ruled in favor of the gun advocates version of the Second Amendment, and the Heller decision was pure Scalia, even he admitted he could not get beyond the prefatory clause but ignored anyways.

As far as the Founding Fathers, the gun advocate groups puts out lists of quotes from the Founders supposedly supporting gun ownership, but as I said, taking a simple quote or two from a speech or article by individuals who wrote endlessly throughout their lives is pulling it out of context. You won’t see those quotes in Scalia’s opinion, nor in Thomas’s sophomoric interpretation of history
