“We should elect the president the way we elect governors, senators, mayors, represen

Already happened. Many states changed how their electors cast the ballot for President.

15 states + D. C. That is far from the required 270 electoral votes.

Those states did not change how their electors cast the ballot for president unless enough states equaling 270 have joined the pact.

“We should elect the president the way we elect governors, senators, mayors, representatives, everybody else – whoever gets the most votes wins,” Raskin said. “We spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year exporting American democracy to other countries, and the one thing they never come back to us with is the idea that, ‘Oh, that electoral college that you have, that’s so great, we think we will adopt that too’.”

Wow, that is some crazy there. The US is listed as a Democracy in every damn listing of world democracies. It is called a "flawed democracy" in many lists.
and the ATF defines a small metal piece as an automatic weapon. definitions by some supposed authority are suspect, at best.
You are trying to define it away so you can justify the tyranny of the minority.
there is no tyranny of the minority
Trump lost by 3 million votes. Bush lost to Gore. But due to some 1780 shenanigans, we installed the electoral college to preserve slavery in many states. Some states would not have joined the union without it. Now you think the electoral college is a fair way to decide who wins, but not who gets the most votes.
that is a flawed and missing context explanation for the electoral college. go back to a history class that isn't biased.
Trump ran roughshod over everyone who had the temerity to disagree with him. He lost the vote and tried to set up a dictatorship in the end. That is OK in your view.
NOBODY on this board has EVER reposted any statement of mine that said I was ok with trump or what he did, yet you lemmings CONTINUALLY spout it as gospel. please, PROVE YOUR BULLSHIT
How do we decide who wins the Senate seats? How about House seats? How about the governor? How about every damn political office in the country except one. Does that one vote mean we are not a democracy? How can that make sense? Your school board is won by the person who gets the most votes. Dog catcher is the person with the most votes. We are a democracy.
prior to the republic destroying 17th Amendment, the national representation was PERFECT. Each congressional district represented the PEOPLE in that district. The Senate was chosen by their state legislatures to represent the states. The EC elected a president that represented the NATION!!!!!!!!!!! One person ALWAYS gets one vote, NOBODY has more representation than another.
WE ARE A REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no, they do not. EACH STATE has 2 Senators that represent the STATE. perfectly equal.

incorrect.

Playing opposites and using blank, unreasoned denial. More populous states have only 2 senators representing millions of people. That is a fact. States are not people. They are not being represented.

They bring their flags, celebrations and cultures to America. Shouldn't they leave all that shit at home if that is what they are fleeing?

We are the great melting pot of the world

We are all in the pot all the time

We melt the cultures of mankind into one people

We prove mankind can work as one for the betterment of mankind

We create a more perfect union

You want us to be a racist hellscape

Start your dreamed of race war loser

See how quick you get dead

We need to become a more Perfect union by fixing this system to fit the size of the nation NOW

every state gets at least two senators

More senators after a certain population level

Reps elected locally

All of the state voters get to vote on all the senators

Only uneducated dullards and morons make such arguments. It's apparent that idiots expressing such nonsense are not educated about our constitution or why the electoral process exists and what makes it a brilliant idea.

You need to read my series on the Constitution to comprehend why this is moronic. We are a Republic of States, not a straight up democracy. As such, the constitution reserves what responsibilities the Federal Government doesn't have, to the states.

If Presidential elections were popular votes, smaller states would have no say in our elections and leftist strongholds on both coasts would dictate every Presidential election thus making voting meaningless nearly everywhere else.

Of course, if you are a low IQ leftist with the intelligence of a lemming and with Fascistic tendencies, then yes, having New York and California dictate all our elections is quite fine, that is, until they once again become Republican.

Playing opposites and using blank, unreasoned denial. More populous states have only 2 senators representing millions of people. That is a fact. States are not people. They are not being represented.

then you are blatantly ignoring the intent of the Constitution. end of story.

Every vote in local governments, organizations, unions, and any class goes by majority rules. We call ourselves a democracy. We should become one.

We are not a democracy shit-for-brains, we are a Democratic Republic of States. You're another perfect example of how badly our educational establishment has failed its citizens and why the Federal Government should not unconstitutionally dictate to the states via a department of education.

No, we are not a democracy. We're a constitutional republic. A pure democracy is a horrific system where one's rights and life is subject completely on how the majority of people feel about you and your racial, social, religious, etc. group, where the majority can oppress the minority with ease.

Spot on.

At one time it was ok

Our population now makes that plan stupid

our population is represented by the house, which can INCREASE the number of house seats in a state. It is why California has 55 reps, Texas has 38, and Vermont has 1.

see what I mean about you not being smart enough for this?
