We had 2500 people in Afghanistan and were holding it when we left. I seem to Remember Russia leaving Afghanistan also.
The facts remain unchanged. Russia has let a smaller army in a smaller second rate country fight them to a standstill.Mealy-mouthed backwards uni-cycling.
Haw, haw...........................haw.

Temporarily . That doesn't change the fact that the world's worst bully got its ass whipped by jungle villagers and desert herdsmen.
Yeah Russia only real weapons ae cruise missile , which it has a limited number of, and drones now with the patriot missile system Russia will lose its advantage on cruise missiles. Ukraine will keep pounding their supply depots with HIMARS. The Russian army can't fight without food or ammunition. It's just a matter of time.Temporarily . Russia should learn from that fact and should cut their losses now and go home. Besides Russia could subdue a trial country after a decade and had to run home in defeat. Ukraine isn't tribal and is decimating Russia's military much more than Afghanistan ever did.Temporarily . The Kremlin's army enjoyed a huge advantage in terms of personnel and equipment over its western neighbour prior to the invasion in February.
Vladimir Putin's army is being outgunned and outwitted by Ukraine's much smaller forces thanks to the "revolutionary" application of AI, according to Western military experts. The UK's Ministry of Defence estimated that Russian commanders had at their disposal as many as 900,000 active military personnel, of which almost 200,000 were committed to the invasion.
Furthermore, Russia boasted more than 13,000 tanks, just under 6,000 artillery pieces and close to 20,000 armoured vehicles in its arsenal prior to the unleashing of hostilities.
In comparison, Kyiv has just 196,000 active military personnel, according to the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS).
Ukraine's army also possessed just over 2,000 tanks, 1,960 artillery pieces and 2,870 armoured vehicles when the war broke out.
Despite this huge Russian advantage in terms of offensive weapons, Ukraine's army has inflicted a series of humiliating defeats on Putin's generals and managed to reclaim more than 70,000 square kilometres of occupied territory.
The key to Kyiv's success lies in its access to and application of AI technology developed by the US tech firm, Palantir - a firm co-owned by the billionaire Peter Thiel.
Ukraine's commanders are skilfully using the advanced software produced by the company, to help their artillery units deliver more accurate and deadlier strikes against Russian positions and logistical supply

Maybe they could use that AI to fund their war other than on the backs of the U.S. taxpayer.
Don’t forget. The bully also had the best weapons and technology in its favor.
The bully went against a determined force outside their own land.
Sound familiar?

No- half a world away. The Ukrainian territory was half-Russian when it started.
In 2001 when the last census was taken it was 17.3% Russian. Where do you get 50% ?
That doesn't seem to be as serious as losing two decades-long wars to jungle villagers and desert herdsmen. But then- you ARE a brain-scrubbed establishment boot-licker

Merry Christmas
Jalen Hurts is out for the game.

Russia is begging Iran for drones, and is begging North Korea for artillery shells. That is not what a superpower does.
Russian nationality and pro-Russian sentiments are not the same thing.
It is laughable they have to buy them from Iran.Russia is a massive country with massive resources and massive factory-power. The notion that it could not produce thousands of drones at short notice is laughable.
