Biden whopper lie of the day

This is a thread where you can post the latest whopper of a lie Joke Biden tells.

Today's lie of the day is typical of his whopper of a lie "fish stories."

When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, this is still wrong,"

Joke made that statement during the signing ceremony for the "Respect for Marriage Act."

I doubt you could find a single restaurant in America today that would kick a gay couple out for being gay. Even if one did exist, it'd be sued out of existence in a nanosecond after it did that.

So, Joke casually utters a complete and incredibly stupid LIE during the signing of a piece of legislation at the White House.

Damn, I want to go to Burger King now....

Joe Biden repeatedly regaled voters with a tale about himself being arrested 30 years ago in South Africa while trying to see Nelson Mandela. The lie was detailed and deliberate. "I had the great honor of being arrested with our U.N. ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see [Mandela] on Robbens Island," Biden said. He even went so far as to claim that he'd been thanked by Mandela for getting arrested.

Biden fabricated the entire event. The ambassador Biden mentioned said it never happened. Finally, Biden had to admit he made it up. "I guess I wasn't arrested," he told CNN.

Then, while stumping for Hillary Clinton that same year, Biden told the story of an Army captain who pulled a soldier out of a burning vehicle in Iraq but resisted the resulting medal.

“He died. He died, Mr. Vice President,” Biden recalled the officer saying. “I don’t want the medal.”

As the Post report notes, the Pentagon has no record of a U.S. Army captain receiving a Silver Star during the period Biden describes.

During a 2008 trip to Afghanistan, Biden did, in fact, watch Major General David Rodriguez pin a Bronze Star on a young soldier who tried to pull a wounded comrade out of a burning vehicle. He did not, however, preside over the ceremony.

“My dad, when I got elected vice president [in 2008], he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge, but he said, ‘and he won the Purple Heart and he never received it. He never got it. Do you think you could help him get it? We will surprise him,'” the president recalled.

“So I got him the Purple Heart. He had won it in the Battle of the Bulge. And I remember he came over the house and I came out and [my father] said, ‘Present it to him, okay?’ We had the family there,” Biden went on.

“I said, ‘Uncle Frank, you’ve won this and I wanted to —’ and he said, ‘I don’t want the damn thing.’ No, I’m serious, he said, ‘I don’t want it.’ I said, ‘What’s the matter, Uncle Frank? You earned it.’ He said, ‘Yeah, but the others died. The others died. I lived. I don’t want it.'”....

Biden’s father, Joseph R. Biden Sr., died in September 2002 — more than six years before his son was elected vice president. Frank Biden, Joe Sr.’s brother, died in 1999.

"Today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over $5 when I took office," Biden said in remarks about microchip manufacturing in Syracuse

When Biden took office gas was $2.39

Student loan forgiveness is “passed. I got it passed by a vote or two. And it’s in effect.”

Biden signed a E.O. on student loans it was never voted on by Congress.

I don't think Trump is a lying sack of shit or a traitor, but rather that he's a bloviating braggard that's full of himself. He's been that way his whole adult life. As for Biden, dementia usually involves angry outbursts and even physical violence on the part of the person having it. Sure Biden gets mad when he's called out for his lies and stupidity, but he's always been that way.

Trump is actually a textbook pathological liar. It's an art form for him.

Biden lies like a normal politicians. Sporadically, a few tall tales - but not the sort of day in, day out, hour in, hour out we got from Trump.

The irony of Trump supporters calling out anyone for dishonesty....well, it's somethin'.

"If the president had done his job, had done his job from the beginning, all the people would still be alive," Biden said at the CNN town hall in Moosic, Pa. "All the people. I'm not making this up. Just look at the data. Look at the data."

Even Politico said this was another Biden lie.

:bullshit:

"U.S. troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan: 53,188," Biden said. "U.S. COVID infected in America: 6,344,700. U.S. COVID deaths: 189,506. Military COVID infected: 118,984. Military COVID deaths: 6,114. Folks, every one of these lives matter. Every one of these lives left somebody behind grieving."

However, the Defense Department has publicly announced that through early September, seven servicemembers have died from the coronavirus and nearly 38,500 had been infected — numbers far below what Biden cited. There have also been 50 civilian deaths, seven deaths of dependents and 20 contractor deaths due to the virus, Military Times reported.
