The president gives speeches and gives interviews to either convince people, or to shore up his base.

there's nobody to convince on Fox. It's a republican network, watched almost entirely by teabaggers. There's nobody convincable there. There was a poll after the 2004 election which showed that something like 94% of Fox News viewers voted for Bush. And something like 6% voted for Kerry. This was after four years of George Dumbya Bush fucking up the country, and fucking up two wars. Obama can't waste his time trying to convince Fox viewers of anything. Fox is in a league by itself. There is no way that 94% of the readers of the New York Times, CBS News, or CNN vote Democrat. As wiseguy said on this board, Fox is completely in a class by itself in being a nakedly partisan opinion channel for teabaggers.

he is not rogue, obama fully supports his decision, so whether he got approval for this specific action or not is irrelevent, he was hired to do just this and he did it...
