Simema leaves Democratic party

YES IT MATTERS

it will return us to a split Congress

It is HUGE

You really think Sinema will vote against the Dems judicial appointments? That's all we need her for. King and Bernie, both "I's", caucus with the dems.

Provided that Sinema sticks to that vow, Democrats will still have a workable Senate majority in the next Congress, though it will not exactly be the neat and tidy 51 seats they assumed. They’re expected to also have the votes to control Senate committees. And Sinema’s move means Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) — a pivotal swing vote in the 50-50 chamber the past two years — will hold onto some but not all of his outsized influence in the Democratic caucus.

Almost certainly she has no intention of sticking around.....COngress is a deeply broken place.....so many good people have left because it is not worth their time.
She wasn’t good, she misrepresented herself to the AZ voters. People like her is why Congress is broken. She represents herself and her interests, not her constituents.

Exactly, this just hurts her future election chances.
I think her voting record already did that, but this is just her Elon Musk moment.

It's a yawner. It's no different than expecting Manchin to suddenly stop caucusing with Republicans.

At least Sinema will be on board for any/all gay rights issues, but the fact is there won't be anything coming out of the House for 2 years.

This could all be moot.

If Bernie would become a Dem he could change this problem
It would change nothing Bernie votes 95-99% for Democrats as an Independent. That would not change if he became a Democrat. It’s not the party that counts it’s the way they vote. Why don’t you feel King should change his party?

Further proof that Citizens United was the worst thing to ever happen to elections

How about both of them?

Bernie uses my party’s platform and cash to run when it suits his ass
